  1. I heard she has an exclusive on the Werther's Originals budget as well. Massacred I'm told by an inside source at Firhill.
  2. The issue isn't in of itself the debt, but cashflow. Cashflow kills Clubs. I don't think it's any great secret that we're likely to see some sort of call to arms come Christmas and that it's anticipated there is a shortfall in the budget. A spike in attendances would help on the cashflow front, as it means more money coming in on a semi-regular basis and less risk of overdraft facilities bouncing. As supporters we need to be ready for the worst, but mindful that the situation isn't clear enough yet. It might not be something as serious as administration, but it doesn't mean it's not squeaky bum time.
  3. Apparently a statement from one of their supporters' groups has likened the SFL sanction to "attempted murder". I'd be more concerned about the hit and run they did on the tax man, the GBH on their rivals' assembled squads and the boycott that's tantamount to blackmail if I were them. I hope they get their points deduction increased to 840.
  4. Rumour has it that the Aberdeen team bus is going to stop off at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, on the way back up tonight to have a newly torn arsehole seen to as a matter of urgency.
  5. I don't think anyone is surprised, tbh.
  6. Yes. Biggest ever home win was 7-0, achieved, funnily enough, twice by Celtic against Aberdeen. Largest away win was 8-1. Not broken the record for the most goals in a game, though, which is held by Hibs and Motherwell (6-6)
  7. Much as I dislike the Old Firm, it's results like that which make me chuckle having grown up around Dons fans who seem to think it's still the 80s.
  8. You know, if there's one thing that's gone well this season it's been our ability to capitalise on set-pieces: especially corners.
  9. Thistle source at the game says 33. But a nudge is as good as a wink to a blind bat.
  10. Morton 2-0 up now. I can sense it. We're going to get relegated automatically despite Dundee's points deduction.
  11. I still think we should be playing 2-3-5...
  12. We have Cowdenbeath to thank that (Dundee's points deduction aside) we're not sitting at the foot of the table as things stand.
  13. Yeah. Quite worrying how many of our players are injured at the moment. It's not going to clear up over the winter months.
  14. It would appear the Fife Quartet have the ball and aren't letting the rest of the league play with it the way the table is just now...
  15. Hardie off injured. Looks like we have a relegation battle on our hands people.
  16. Balatoni off for Cairney and Higgins missed a sitter for Dundee. Presuming McNamara will drop back to sweeper.
  17. If Rowson's fit, I'd have considered having him in ahead of both, to be honest. Cairney was rotten on Saturday.
  18. No. Nor would I expect it or want it. Couldn't agree more.
