Good question. Should the Club not be explaining their reasoning to the fans? Maybe they just don't want to get into bed with Sevco or maybe they have reaised the "evidence" is hot air??
-
An inquiry, by whom? The SPFL perhaps??

Club is a disgrace 5 season tickets no more

Ha. So just to be clear you buy a Season ticket but do not attend games because you live in Aberdeen and have work commitments. Fair enough- an honorable and noble gesture. You want to support the club financially despite the fact you can seldom use the ticket. THEN when the season gets cut short , through no fault of the Club, you demand a re-fund on the cost of your Season ticked because now you cannot attend the games which you would not have been able to attend anyway??. Yes strange indeed. -

Agreed. A very strange individual. -
Sad to read this LIB, think you will be back asap.!

Are you insane? We could not possibly have a vote where the decision is not known before everyone has voted. How could they make sure they get the right result ? No no , that just would not do.
-
This just illustrates the joke of the whole thing. The CEO is phoning round the voters before the vote is closed telling them how the vote is going! Its a complete amateurish organisation with no credibility.
-
Agree entirely. Chopping and changing managers is knee jerk, costs the club money and does not work. Agree 2 assistants is overkill though , particularly at League 1 level. Back the manager and get behind the team

It is clear the SPFL is not fit for purpose. A system where member Clubs get to vote on resolutions is riddled with flaws and open to abuse,as we have clearly seen. time and time again There is an overriding ( and understandable ) pressure on Clubs to vote for their own self interest, rather than what is the correct or best decision for Scottish football as a whole. I think the whole system needs a complete re-think and overhaul. Appoint an independent firm of Management Consultants on a five year contract- they would make all the decisions with no input from the Clubs. No Club representation. Basically a dictatorship. The Clubs would hate it, especially Celtic, but taking influence and the spectre of self interest out of the process might, just might , benefit the game in Scotland. Appreciate it would be difficult to find an" independent" firm in this country!!

I get what you say and largely agree. The fact is however, under the SPFL rules, the Clubs voted NO to their resolution until Dundee were bribed into changing their vote. Unlikely a re-vote now would change things, but you never know- there might be another Club (s) out there who would have a pang of morality and change from Yes to No. If nothing else another vote would piss the SPFL off ,keep the matter in the public eye, thus emphasising what a fck up the first vote was and prolonging their discomfort.

Who came up with this 11-1 and 75% rule and could it not be changed ?
-
Agreed. He says it would be grossly unfair if Inverness (2nd) were promoted ahead of Ayr (4th). But relegating Thistle who have played a game less than QoS is just collateral damage. Throbber.

Good on you. Am joining the Centenary fund .

I agree not going down the legal route is, on balance, probably the right decision, much as it sticks in the craw. I don't give a shit about other Clubs, that should not come into our thinking. Once it is "all sorted out", things will continue as before- the Clubs in the SPFL doing all they can to preserve their collective positions in that League - restricting the chances of relegation and making promotion thereto as difficult as possible. You do not get change for asking politely for it. Things will only change if and when the status quo is threatened or change are is imposed on the SPFL by UEFA.
-
No sorry, that's just not true. That places an awful lot of faith in the ability of Scottish coaching staff to spot and nurture talent. Not something they are renowned for. This blind assumption that if you are good enough you will come through regardless , just does not live up to scrutiny. Plenty of decent players have fallen through the nets due to lack of opportunity / blinkered scouting.
-
But that's exactly the outcome they want.
-
So your position is , we just shrug our shoulders and accept things.? Campaign for a foundational change- what does that mean? PTFC : We don't like how things operate and think you are incompetant and corrupt. SPFL:- tough that's they way it is - what are you going to do about it?? PTFC: We are going to campaign for a foundational change. SPFL: OK- good luck with that. If we applied for an interim interdict would that not at least delay things? Might not solve anything or improve our position but it would inconvenience the SPFL and I am all for that .
-
So just accept it but take some hush money?
-
And the SPFL know this and are banking on it. Usual situation, you cannot right a wrong because you cannot afford to , so the rich and wealthy continue to exploit others safe in the knowledge they cannot be challenged.
-
This would make much more sense and be more equitable.
-
I know, but just very angry.
-
Night night- think its time for your medicine , then get Mummy to tuck you in.
-
I am not in the mood for your shite this evening. A person who thinks Partick Thistle got what they deserved because they were bottom of the league 8 games to go.
-
I thought you left an hour ago?
-
Yes think you are right. I go back to what I said a few days ago- I would send a letter of resignation and tell them to stick their 110 page constitution up their collective arses. Would rather not be part of this corrupt fckfest.
