  1. We keep hearing that the SPFL is a club run organisation. This chancer Doncaster is clearly not up to the job- surely it within the power of the clubs to have him removed from his post. Or is there some sub -clause in Article 23 page 743 which prevents that??
  2. Bet he could still put in a better delivery than most of our squad.
  3. Think we are drifting into the territory of " i know something you dont know because a guy with a dog down the pub told me and he knows his brothers best mate"
  4. Well the SPFL better get on with it if thats what Celtic want. Premume they will have had their usual input into the order of the fixtures. Are they getting a wee break in December so they can have a lucrative trip to America ??
  5. Do you honestly believe that? The SPFL is run by those 2 abetted by Peter Lawwell.

Fair enough- nothing against that choice- I have never heard of him but that does not mean he would not be a good choice. The thing is it was you who asked in relation to the suggestion of Doolan and Erskine " what makes you think they would be any good?" Two relatively young guys, with a connection to and love for our club and presumably young fresh ideas. Nobody knows if they would be any good but the same can be said for any appointment and at least with them we know they would be giving it everything and have the majority of fans onside from Day 1.

Ok - so who would you want as manager?

I agree and hope it does happen at some point but not yet.

He is clearly a decent manager. Look waht he did at Livvy.
  10. That is the very definition of being an optomist.
  11. Just a wild guess but perhaps self interest??
  12. Dont think it matters who is given the Title captain. What matters is having leaders and winners on the pitch. You gain respect by example , not by being given a Title.
  13. If that is the genuine reason it is yet another example of these baw bags running ( and ruining) the game in this country.
  14. Can someone explain how this 11-1 voting requirement for SPL clubs came about? , I presume it was designed to prevent a situation where 1 Club puts forward a proposal for their own Clubs benefit, ie it needs an overwhelming agreement to indicate that it is for the benefit of the League as a whole. It seems very unfair and is basically an obstacle to change. I would have thought 75% should be sufficient to achieve the same objective although >50% would be more democratic.
  15. Disagree. In the short term yes. But after a bit of time whichever of the Clubs that disappeared would be forgotten about; kids would support other teams; an enlightened sponser would come on Board. A lot of Scottish people love football and would continue to seek an outlet to follow the game. In my view the demise of one or other, buy preferably both. of the Ugly sisters would in the long term be good for the game of football and Scottish society in general. This belief that we need them and the game would extinguish without them, is what gives them the unfair influence they weild over the whole game in Scotland ( most notably over the Authorities which are supposed to administer the game for the benefit of all Clubs),
  16. They might OFFICIALLY be completed but they have clearly not been completed. As for the point about having to finish the league before they could distribute the cash, that is so clearly shite it is not worth commenting on.
  17. But the The Championship, League One and League Two copetiotions have not been completed, so how does that work.? And I thought UEFA have said individual countries governing bodies can nominate which Clubs represent that country in European competitions?
  18. Dont worry about being confused by this. The SPFL will decide which League a team is allocated to depending on what suits their rhetoric. You didnt actually think there would be a rule in place for this did you? Even if there are rules , these just get disregarded anyway depending on what is required.
  19. That is your interpretation and as you say it is fatctual that they failed. I still maintain the following: 1) There is no requirement for an SPFL governing body. The SFA could do their job, 2) The Officials who work for the SFA are grossly overpaid. 3) The SPFL Board are at best inept but more likely corrupt .
  20. Agreed . It s just how that is achieved.
  21. Yes I know it is what we are supposed to have - but clearly we do not have that - hence why change is required . You asked what the vision would be and I gave you that . You did not ask for a step by step guide as to how in practice that would be achieved and frankly I am not qualified or knowledgable enough to comment on that . What I do know is that change is needed and your attitude that we should not seek change because it might cause disruption and not be an improvement on what is already in place , is, in my view, defeatist . It is also the attitude that the current regime relies upon.
  22. The vision of what might come after would simply be a Board reprenting the best interests of all the Clubs in Scotland operating in a clear and transparent manner and for significantly less cost than that which is currently in place.
