  1. Dont worry about being confused by this. The SPFL will decide which League a team is allocated to depending on what suits their rhetoric. You didnt actually think there would be a rule in place for this did you? Even if there are rules , these just get disregarded anyway depending on what is required.
  2. That is your interpretation and as you say it is fatctual that they failed. I still maintain the following: 1) There is no requirement for an SPFL governing body. The SFA could do their job, 2) The Officials who work for the SFA are grossly overpaid. 3) The SPFL Board are at best inept but more likely corrupt .
  3. Agreed . It s just how that is achieved.
  4. Yes I know it is what we are supposed to have - but clearly we do not have that - hence why change is required . You asked what the vision would be and I gave you that . You did not ask for a step by step guide as to how in practice that would be achieved and frankly I am not qualified or knowledgable enough to comment on that . What I do know is that change is needed and your attitude that we should not seek change because it might cause disruption and not be an improvement on what is already in place , is, in my view, defeatist . It is also the attitude that the current regime relies upon.
  5. The vision of what might come after would simply be a Board reprenting the best interests of all the Clubs in Scotland operating in a clear and transparent manner and for significantly less cost than that which is currently in place.
  6. So 30% of the Member Clubs want an independent enquiry into the behaviour of the Board that is appointed by and funded by the Member Clubs. It is hardly a ringing endorsement on their Stewardship. Hope a Vote of No confidence is the next step,
  7. Please correct me if I an wrong, but are you saying that because the removal of the SPFL Board would cause upheaval and difficulties ( which it undoubtedly would) there should be no enquiry, Rather that we should just accept that corruption and bullying happens and that it just has to be accepted as part and parcel of the keepie-uppy world of Scottish football?
  8. When are we expecting the results of this Vote to be announced - or is that dependent on the availability of Mr Lawwell?
  9. I'm not having ago at you , as I said if such a structure could be put in place I think it would have considerale merit. Its just that if it is very unlikely to happen, it is not really a solution - more just wishful thinking.
  10. In basic t erms, because the SPFL is a self righteous corrupt organisation which makes up their own rules on the hoof to serve their own self serving agenda. How Scottish Football has allowed these people to get into and stay in positions of power and influence for so long is astonishing and sickening.
  11. I would be very happy to see a structure such as you have outlined, in place. I am just not sure where the impetus will come from to make it happen? The current incumbants are clearly not going to approach external advisors asking them to select and appoint a Board of Trustees who will then appoint their own Interim Board.
  12. I dont disagree with any of this, if these people are out there and are prepared to give up their time and get involved. Not sure that they are but would genuinely be delighted to be proved wrong. What happens with the current Board , Chief Exec etc? Would the Board of Trustees be remunerated? Who decides who is on the Board of Trustees?
  13. Ok - so your "solution" is to put a call out to the Thistle support asking competant people (but only those that have run their own business) to come forward, join the Board and takeover the running of the Club? Is that correct?
  14. Absolutely , this reform from within nonsense just does not work when there are dishonest people involved with self interest and cronyism rife. Would be delighted if we were at the forefront of something new and innovative , ideally that does not include the Ugly sisters.
  15. Ok - so what exactly would you do to recify the situation and put us on the road to imporovement?
  16. I agree with you. But I fear reconstrution will not happen, Dundee Utd will replace Thistle in the Championship and once again we will be the poor wee souls that suffer but being the decent chaps we are we will shrug our collective shoulders, grind our teeth and ultimately accept being shafted..
  17. Of course they could. It is supposed to be a members organisation. If the members want something changed , that should be eminently possible.
  18. Ok fair enough, what is your best (not ideal ) solution?
  19. Because the competition which they entered was not completed/ finshed.
  20. So what is the point right now. Given this is football forum.? I fully appreciate there are bigger more cobncerning things happening in the world.
  21. i know it is going over old ground , but I could accept our final placing of 10th if all the teams had played the same numbver of games. We did not have the same opportunity as the other Clubs to amass points, so No our final placing is not correct and we should not sccept it.
