  1. I thought that back in the day, crowds were dwindling due to an overabundance of meaningless games in the larger leagues, which is why the ten team divisions were invented in the first place; not that they stopped the decline, but that's due to a multitude of factors. Regardless, Scottish clubs probably did better in Europe back then simply because the quality of Scottish football wasn't as absolutely gash as it is now, and I doubt league sizes is going to improve that.
  2. Too many professional clubs in Scottish football? I wonder who gets to decide which clubs live or die? Maybe us, because we're such bastions of sporting morality. I'm sure the economy will make that decision for a lot of clubs soon enough.
  3. The idea of taking out local newspaper ads to announce our non-attendance of away games is embarrassing in the extreme.
  4. Without the Old Firm they've got about as much chance of changing things as this forum does.
  5. Football and every other sport that makes money from being televised will being trying to return as soon as possible, and I doubt any government will force them to stop. Just look to America. The novelty of quarantine is starting to wear off already and you'll see the general populace start to clamour for everything to return to "normal" very, very soon.
  6. I'm perfectly calm. It takes real effort to be as astoundingly negative as you. I'm not really of the mind to argue the minutiae of managerial records with someone who calls themselves "McCall Out" with something like five posts to their name, or yourself, who has never been happy with anything related to Partick Thistle and exists under a permanent black cloud of misery, almost as if they enjoy it.
  7. No need to get your knickers in a twist.
  8. No one ever sticks the flounce.
  9. You're right. Don't know why Aberdeen voted against it, and then were "angry" about it not being passed the next year.
  10. The vote to change the SPL voting structure was in 2012 whilst Rangers were in the wilderness; it was Aberdeen that shat the bed and decided to keep the leagues balls in the Old Firm's hands. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/moves-to-change-spl-voting-structure-1393897
  11. He takes a long walk around the houses until he gets to the point that he doesn't want a fourteen team league because he doesn't want Inverness promoted over Ayr. I'd have a lot more respect for these punters if they were just honest about their self-interest.
  12. I'm sure there's a way for a private individual to bring a case against the footballing authorities, big man. Time to show us all your spine!
  13. Delete your account and leave the internet entirely. What an absolute stain.
  14. The absolute best result a successful legal challenge would get is to recast the vote. It's just pouring money down a drain. It makes more sense to campaign for a foundational change. We would never get close to seeing the inside of a court and it would only result in the status quo becoming further entrenched. But the whole system is bent so that seems unavoidable anyway.
  15. Legal action will be a completely pointless act for show that might appease some people who are raging on this forum, but will cost the club money it does not have. Getting Gerry Britton on Radio Scotland on Saturday to bump his gums for half and hour will gain us the same amount of attention as a lawsuit, and won't cost a penny.
  16. How much would it cost? Can the club afford to pursue something that is 100% guaranteed to fail?
  17. We'll have to see how many clubs still exist in, say, August, to see what sort of leagues we can have. Unless someone can bribe the government to declare football an "essential service"
  18. 500 people standing on that wee bit of the canal where they can keek into the ground? Seems farfetched.
