  1. I can't think of a solitary reason for continuing all of this.
  2. Agreed. Interesting that the Pars state that they require an average attendance of 6,000-7,000 to sustain SPL costs.
  3. That's one Fox who could justifiably be regarded as vermin.
  4. Err, a bit late for aid, as they're deid.
  5. Excellent, thanks! I'll be happy to send you the VHS if necessary.
  6. Fair enoughski, but a criminal charge, with the possibility of being banned from attending football matches for years to come? Wrong call, and a waste of time and the justice system's resources.
  7. Nothing, but nothing would make me go there. Well, maybe a freebie for the scousers' end. Had absolutely no idea about this match. Still don't know what it's about. A friendly? A testimonial? An embarrassment? (Surely).
  8. Not saying that corruption rears its ugly head again, but it's difficult to avoid thinking about it when you read all of this stuff: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15287827 I'm rather surprised that among the allegations of "inappropriate" meetings, "mistakes of judgement", and "blurring" of the lines, nobody has yet come out and suggested that it might be a good idea to take a look at transactions relating to Fox's bank accounts, of which I'd expect there are several.
  9. Make sure you stay steady on your feet going down the stairs!
  10. What is intoxicated? Is the limit the same as for driving? Two pints and you can't drive. I'd reckon that the majority of folk who go to a match have drunk more than that before they get into the match. Their reaction times and judgement would be demonstrably impaired (being at Firhill in the first place would suggest problems with judgement!). So are all these people breaking the law?
  11. QuickSnap! (I cheated, and looked at the Members list.....)
  12. Looking forward to it too. Got a bit of confidence in the current team, and believe that we might come away victorious. Even pushed the boat out to make "a holiday" of it: a couple of nights in Glenrothes! At least I told Jaggernautess this is her holiday for this year.
  13. Not while under the influence of drink, hopefully.
  14. Great illustration. Looks like a tube/metro plan!
  15. Will he bring an advisor a friend?
  16. Would that be Leigh Griffiths? I'd been wondering where he came from.
  17. You could say exactly the same about us, except that we've fielded players that aren't from our youth system. Also except that we haven't (yet) beat the h uns, though we did beat the tims in yon friendly.
  18. We could go 2nd top on Saturday, or...... bottom (equal on points). "Tight" comes to mind.
  19. Eh? Falkirk: Played 8, won 3. Failed to win promotion last year and just about everybody wanted rid of the manager. They've had to cut back enormously on their "youth academy" at Stirling Uni, and are on the brink of very serious trouble if they again fail to win promotion.
  20. Free entry for serving members of the armed forces, and veterans: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-15275711 Should PTFC do this? If so, where should it stop? Free entry for off-duty/retired polis? Ambulance drivers? Carers? Mountain Rescue and Coastguard members? Women's Institute? Salvation Army? Edited to add: How could I forget?????: Asylum seekers.
  21. Continuing to play Devil's advocate, I'd say that Hamilton are the exception, and there's no sign of that being repeated. What other teams in Scotland with "youth systems" have seen substantial profits? On the other hand, several clubs have sold on players that they invested nothing in, including us (Harkins, Twaddle).
