The Sunnylaw Jag
Didn't get to the Star and Garter after the game yesterday as I was heading doon and over the watter again to Rothesay, made up for it by getting pie-eyed in the pubs 'til 1 am. Thanks to Archie and the lads for a great performance yesterday, it was like having a few extra feel good pints in you before I started having a beer. JeanieD
Can you remember if it was Bute or Argyle!!! Black Bull, Golfers, Criterion?
The Sunnylaw Jag
It was the Bute back and forth and it was surprising to find a couple of teenagers in Thistle scarves on the boat too. As for the pubs it was the Galatea, The Islander and the Taverna to listen to the not so wonderful Margaret Zavaroni. The Golfers shut before we got there. Rid Skwerr
S.J. - is the Grapes Bar in Rothesay still going? Used to frequent it when the boat I was working on - the (old) Bute - was lying there overnight. This would have been 1968 or so..... Seem to remember arriving back at the boat one night with a printed label pinned to my jacket reading - "If found, please do NOT return to the Grapes Bar, Rothesay"

I don't particularly like it as it tends to attract a younger crowd so can't be arsed with it.
The Sunnylaw Jag
The Galatea has a steamer history too! Yeah, I know, I bought my wife a old picture which now hangs in the flat in Rothesay.
