kni
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is not worth the £10.5 million that Schalke have paid for him. So much for him going to Spurs!
McKennan
It's not really a bloody window so it won't bloody well 'slam shut'. That ticks me. Euan Holden, brother of US internationalist Stuart, is on trial with St Mirren. Both brothers are good players.

schwabe
Stuttgart sign Camoranesi from Juventus Good news for Schwabe? Well I think it was a good decision after all. Of course being 33 he's not in his prime anymore, but our midfield looked miserable ever since Khedira left. He will definitely help us. Still it is a shame that our management spoilt the chance to get Petric from Hamburg. Talking about transfers, there is some madness going on Germany. I don't know how much you know about Schalke, but over the last years, they've mostly been in the spotlight for their massive amount of debts. But this preseason, they started to sign players like crazy. People were surprised when Schalke got Raul (and some others), but over the last two days, they have signed Huntelaar (we had a bid for him a year ago, after selling Gomez for 30 millions, and didn't manage to get him), Jurado (both together for 27 mil) and some other guy called Plestan. Sometimes you fail to understand how Schalke can afford transactions like this, when VfB Stuttgart's management can't make a reasonable bid for Petric after having sold Khedira and Rudy for a total of 18m or something. kni
It will be interesting to see how much Man City have lost after selling Robinho to AC Milan. I wonder how much Lennon paid for Stokes. Hope Hibs stung him.
kni
Reports suggest that Milan paid only £12 million for Robinho. That's a loss of at least £20 for Man City who might have had to pay him off too.
dali
so have we got kenwyne jones on loan or what?
kni
Overall, it was an uneventful transfer deadline day. A lot of the rumoured deals did not happen. Most of the top clubs (Chelski, Manure and Arse-nal) were putting players out on loan before naming their 25 man squads tomorrow. Birmingham and Stoke were busy. Spurs last minute attempt to sign Van der Vaart has yet to be confirmed as a done deal. Real Madrid must have been desperate to sell him to drop the price by £10m to £8m.
