themadozjag Posted April 2, 2017 Report Share Posted April 2, 2017 I've been away from this Forum for quite a while but have to say that Adam Barton is the best accomplished footballer I've seen since the days of Alan Hansen. Jaggernaut Posted February 11, 2018 Report Share Posted February 11, 2018 Time to resurrect this thread? I'll be direct: in midfield, Barton is worse than useless; he's an actual liability. Saunters around looking disinterested barely tracks anybody, barely tackles, and turns back to put an end to potential attacks by the team. The fans see it time and again, the player himself probably knows it, we almost invariably lose when he plays midfield...... so why the hell does Archie throw so many games away by playing him there?
