thistledome
I'm probably one of many who loved Deep Purple as a Heavy Rock band and I still do but I was wondering if any of you out there in Rock Land have heard the version of Highway Star by Buckcherry on their album Black Butterfly. In my opinion it's Awesome and might even be better than the original.Any of you heard it?
McKennan
I'm not precious about cover versions but this doesn't do it for me. Others might enjoy it.

B.C.G. JAG
The original has got a bit of grungy lo-fi distortion and fruitless attempts to control feedback amongst the already pretty sludgy production values. The cover is clean, clinical and precise where the only squeak you will find is when you run your finger across it's pristine, over-produced finish. I want to vomit all over Buckcherry, if only to make them a bit more rock. Edited September 22, 2010 by B.C.G. JAG
hamiltonjag
I've got the Black Butterfly album and can't find this track anywhere. Buckcherry are good. Not too keen on this cover though.

Track 3 for those of you who can't find it. That would have been "Too Drunk" on the original release, but later replaced by Highway Star, he says in his best Magnus Magnusson voice.
