Blackpool Jags
http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/rugby-union/valiant-effort-but-no-joy-at-firhill-1.1072197 A lot of work obviously did go into that effort to make the surface even egg-compliant. Sky Sports News, earlier in the week, showed the pitch looking like it was under a good few inches of snow. Very Christmassy but fecked just the same. lady-isobel-barnett
From a fitba-selfish point of view I'm glad it's off. The thawed out pitch would have taken a real battering.

uberteeb
Agreed but who is paying the undersoil heating bill? It must be the SRU, no way it's us so who else can it be?
jags365
It must be the SRU, no way it's us so who else can it be? I think the SRU are paying for pitch upkeep after the fallout of the called off Dunfermline game from two? seasons ago.
lineens weegie army
Believe the SRU are paying for the USH. Quite glad tonights game is off: we were looking at quite a small crowd, and the Scotland guys could do with a decent rest ahead of the Toulouse game next friday. I think it was the areas around the ground, and the conditions for Treviso travelling that have seen this week called off, not the pitch.
