Administrators Col Posted August 6, 2011 Administrators Report Share Posted August 6, 2011 Just to let everyone know about a few things we have been working on recently: Redesign - we have redesigned the home page a little bit and dropped most of the pages. Still got a lot of work to do though and will be enhancing the overall look and feel over the next few months. Mobile - we have set up a mobile site for the forum, so if you visit "www.wearethistle.co.uk" from your phone or other device you will be redirected to the mobile site. This is hopefully a bit better to navigate and easier to use. App - working on an iPhone app, but in the meantime if you are using an iPhone you can click on the bookmark link on your browser and select "add to home screen". This will add a bookmark icon for the forum to your phone's home screen. Images - we will soon be enabling the use of images on the forum. Users who don't want to see the images can select the option from their user preferences. Announcement will follow before anything is changed. Software upgrade - we are going to be paying to have the software upgraded and include twitter integration. This will allow you to share your posts on twitter. Also there are are a few other enhancements. Wiki - set up a wiki to try and build a resource of everything Thistle related. Predictor - we are going to be moving the predictor to the fundraising site and setting up a new system to raise money through it. The idea is that we charge a fee to play for a season and the winner at the end of the year will win 50% of the total fees. The other 50% will go to the club. This has still to be confirmed and moved etc. Mods - we are also looking for new mods, so if anyone is interested in helping out to keep the forum running smoothly please PM us. Very much appreciated. + 1 A few old characters from the .net days are still posted missing, maybe never to return, but I feel that's more down to what's not happening on the park at the moment.
