gianlucatoni
A distinctly Scottish flavour to mine .... what are yours? 1. Archie Gemmill v Holland 1978 - nearly wet myself but Johnny Rep burst our bubble a few minutes later! - left, left, left-left-left! 2. Dennis Bergkamp v Argentina 1998 3. Kenny Dalglish v England 1976 - shortly after Jimmy Hill said all scottish keepers were crap - was behind the goal at this game too! - loved them old Hampden goal nets. King Kenny's Nutmeg 4. Maradona v England 1986 - either one would do but this is pure quality - like wee Archie left, left, left-left-left! 5. David Narey v Brazil 1982 - best "toe-poke" ever shortly before Brazil popped 4 past Roughie! Chose this link as there's plenty footage of the big man between the sticks. I commend them to you. Apologies for being pedantic but was it not Jimmy Greaves who said this?
gianlucatoni
Apologies for being pedantic but was it not Jimmy Greaves who said this? I give way to my learned friend - the mists of time may very well have merged one English twat in with another given it was Hill who made the infamous toe-poke comment - I really have no idea. German Jag
Apologies for being pedantic but was it not Jimmy Greaves who said this? The comment about Scottish keepers was by Malcolm Allison.
