Pitch Inspection

There is a pitch inspection at 11:30 this morning at Firhill

I suppose someone has to ask the obvious question, might as well be me. Why is there need of a pitch inspection? I'm assuming it's frosted but why isn't the ush dealing with it?

There shouldn't even need to be an inspection for this. There was a light dusting of snow the other night which could have easily been swept to the side and its nit as if it was well below freezing last night. The ush would have dealt with it comfortably and an inspection wouldn't be necessary. It'll be the rugbys fault or health and safety gone mad about the outside conditions that will get the blame if this gets called off . Sadly reality is probably the club decided it was too expensive to turn the heating on

Perhaps they were gambling that it wouldn't be necessary but it's usually the rule that the cost of use is less than the drop in revenue that a mid winter midweek game accrues,. Anyway game is on. Gamble came off?
