Jaggernaut
Just saw it, and enjoyed it. The acting is great, some of it is a good laugh. Doesn't show up Glasgow in a very good light, but it is a Ken Loach film, I suppose. Would definitely recommend it.
alx
Good film, I enjoyed it, recommended. Has anyone else spotted that it nicks a lot of stuff from ye ancient movie 'that sinking feeling'?
Stewarty
I'll third this; really enjoyed the film, but then I'm a big Ken Loach fan. This is definitely one of his more optimistic films.

This is definitely one of his more optimistic films. I know what you mean. In some ways it was actually like two films merged into one: all the violence and degradation in neddy Glasgow, and the cheery, kilted scamps up in the Highlands. And yet it (mostly) worked. Yeah, it's very much like Looking for Eric. The first half of that film was seriously depressing but by the end it was like a slapstick comedy. Loach struggles to find the middle-ground.
