Shuggie
FIFA: 'Sporting merit' should come first in Rangers' First Division vote The world football governing body will not step in to rule on which league the newco play in.
twinny
It should read: FIFA come out and say not very much at all.
Mr Bunny
Sporting merit is a very vague term.
McKennan
Sporting merit is a very vague term. And in the context of Rangers, next to impossible to define or quantify since 1995 at least.
Craig-W
Sporting merit? How many players do the new Rangers actually have right now? Perhaps they should be allowed into the local 5-a-side league if that is what comes first.
kni
Sporting merit? How many players do the new Rangers actually have right now? Perhaps they should be allowed into the local 5-a-side league if that is what comes first. I think that the following players are training at Murray Park Alexander Gallacher Cole Broadfoot Goian Perry Bocanegra Wallace Hegarty Naismith K Hutton McCulloch Mitchell Little Bedoya Hemmings Kerkar The contractual position of several players remains unclear. Goian has said that the "stars" will not be willing to play in Division 3. Edu has hinted that he wants to leave but has not made a firm decision. Whittaker (Norwich) Lafferty (Sion), Ness (Stoke), Steven Naismith (Everton), Davis (Southampton), Fleck (Coventry), Aluko, McCabe and Mcgregor (Besiktas?) have said to no to Newco. Only Fleck has been given clearance to move by Green.
