Fawlty Towers
The various youth teams start their season today so good luck lads and lets hope it is not too long before we have a steady stream of players coming from their ranks in to the first team. Lin1876
Good luck to the Partick Thistle and Milngavie Wanderers youth teams. I don't follow either of them, but good luck all the same.
Armand2
What annoys me about youth football in Scotland is the lack of regionalisation. Our Under 16's have to travel to Ross County and the 15's to Elgin for games. It's also unfair for players at the likes of County, Elgin, Inverness and the like to have to travel, especially considering most of the opposition is based in the central belt. Think of the accumulated time spent sitting in a bus on the A9 that could have been used to work on coaching technique and skill. In my opinion, the maximum travelling time for a youth team up to Under 17's should be an hour. Anyway, good start for the Under 16's at Stranraer (another not insignificant journey). Good point and the amount of travelling has a cost implication as well which is why it is so important that we generate as much money from the 50/50 draw to help support the club in their efforts to run a successful youth set up. Fawlty Towers
Looks as if the youth teams are following the example of the first team with all three teams in action over the weekend winning!
