Return Fare is £21.10, Kids go Free are valid for this journey, 1 adult can take up to 2 kids for free.

*Edited to add*

Times of trains back from Haymarket are given as a 15min overlap, what you may find is you might get one 15mins earlier than this, as the trains leave Waverley at 00 15 30 45 mins past the hour....also put in change at Haymarket on the way up, as sometimes the trains get held at Princes Street Gardens, for a train to leave Waverley.

The worst thing about playing anyone in Fife are the ridiculous train fares, it costs more to get to Fife than it does anywhere else in the country including the likes of Dingwall, Inverness, Dundee and Dumfries using advance fares/broken journeys.

I've never found a good way round it Thomas (from memory you can save about a quid splitting at Haymarket), I take it there simply isn't a cheap way to get there by train?

Checked what uberteeb said about split tickets....

Its £10.70 return to edinburgh and £8 return from edinburgh to kirkcaldy, so a total of £18.70 for an adult return on split tickets...again kids go free are valid, youll probably have to buy the next journey at haymarket, but no harm in asking the conductor on the train for the haymarket to kirkcaldy retuens, they ma do it, may not.
