scottymagoo
Danny lennon's record at St Mirren probably stands up to Alex Ferguson's. They sacked him too. To be fair they sacked Ferguson because they found out he'd agreed to go to Aberdeen. A bit like finding out your girlfriends going to dump you from one of her mates and then dumping her before she dumps you.
Mr Bunny
I thought that was a falling out and they accused Ferguson of dodgy dealings at the club? That was my memory of it and wiki gives : " According to a Billy Adams Sunday Herald article on 30 May 1999, the official version is that Ferguson was sacked for various breaches of contract including unauthorised payments to players.[27] He was counter-accused of intimidating behaviour towards his office secretary because he wanted players to get some expenses tax free. He didn't speak to her for six weeks, confiscated her keys and communicated only through a 17-year-old assistant. The tribunal concluded that Ferguson was "particularly petty" and "immature".[29] It was claimed during the tribunal by St. Mirren chairman, Willie Todd, that Ferguson had "no managerial ability"." The story about him dealing with Aberdeen without informing the club seems to have appeared a good deal later as self-justification.
