  1. That was the worst ref I've seen for....a while. Booking Liam for a silly bit of bad temper was bad enough, but did you see the beith player who got booked soon after for kicking the ball after the whistle had been blown, in the direction of where the free kick was to be taken! We were all shaking our heads in wonder at that. We did have a good laugh at the ref, as he did seem to be auditioning for a part as one of Madonna's gay dancers at one point, hand on hip and looking very camp. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, but he was mince!
  2. Noone thinks it was a foul, aside from a lot of Celtic fans you mean. With their green tinted specs. It fits the "they're all out to get us" paranoid agenda. Pathetic, and the likes of Radio Clyde Not-so-Superscoreboard won't let it drop. I see that Kirk Broadfoot is similarly dishonest. Perhaps he really believes that he was fouled, but let that be my final say. I wish they would shut the.... drop it.
  3. I can see Gordon Banks, Eddie Gallagher, John Marr, Tony Higgins, and Stuart Cosgrove too. What am I on?
  4. I can back this up. I remember seeing him in the Shed more than once. I'm pretty sure he's a genuine fan, even if he's not been in a while. Do you remember ITN newsreader Alasdair Burnett? I remember one night in particular. He was reading out midweek scores. He read out, I think it was Meadowbank Thistle's result, then when it came to us, instead of Partick Thistle, he said "THE Thistle!". It's well reported that he was a Jags fan from time spent in Glasgow as a reporter, and made no secret of that when reading our scores out.
  5. I could hardly hear until I plugged headphones in. It's fine that way for me. Try that if need be.
  6. I go to Scotstoun every weekend with the wee yin and we've been around the new stadium. The Warriors have what seems a built in presence there. It was rebuilt for the 2014 Games so once that's done I assume they could do something to house rugby matches. Once upon a time I heard talk that Thistle could end up there one day. Hope not. It would be like being back at Meadowbank again. Remember how much fun that was. No good pubs nearby either, though I live nearby.
  7. I don't know either way, but I heard rumours last season that we did not get it all up front. I wondered then if Dundee were gambling on instant promotion, without a get out if it went wrong on the field. Which it has.
