  1. That's a bummer. I was OK for the Saturday at 3pm but I won't make it now as I'm working on the Sunday. No doubt the reverse will apply to some lucky sod somewhere. Ho hum.
  2. Shite draw. However, we've got to beat them some time.
  3. Aye. I'll be in the Brass Monkey in 5 minutes. I want to get a good seat!
  4. No worries. I have noticed that the North West notice posted on here never seems to include the price which seems quite odd.
  5. Better just to post it in the original notice, no?
  6. If Celtic reach the final, it should be at Ibrox If Rangers reach the final, it should be at CP. If both reach the final, they toss a coin to see who hosts it and tickets are split as close to 50/50 as possible, taking into account segregation. If neither reach the final then CP is fine as the biggest available football stadium.
  7. In 1998 (last time Hampden was out of commission) the final venue wasn't decided until after the semis had been played.
  8. Even a club who is no longer in existence has won the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park more recently than us. (Rangers in 1993).
  9. He left Aberdeen to be with his family in the West Midlands. Quite why he had to travel as far north as Maryhill for somebody to take him on is one of football's modern day mysteries. Potential legend.
  10. On 12th April 1960 we won 4-2 there. Can't confirm how the scoring went.
  11. I'm fairly sure the answer to Q2 is no.
  12. Especially surrounding this Sunday's game. Glasgow derby this, Glasgow derby that. Never in my life until this game have I heard a single Celtic go out their way to call it a derby.
  13. The problem with OF fans is that they simply can't comprehend that it's possible to hate each of their teams without it automatically indicating an affection for the other. Therefore, when you laugh at Celtic's misfortunes you're a currant bun without the bus fare and when you laugh at Sevco's (many) misfortunes you're a jungle jim without the bus fare. I see these accusations as a badge of honour because it shows that I'm getting under their skin.
  14. Haven't heard of either of those. What was the Kelvingrove in old money?
  15. Slighty off topic, but can GPT (or anyone else) confirm what time the Monkey and the other pubs around there shut on a Friday? Midnight?
  16. It's a clear cut case of 'goal' until you bring in the linesman's actions, which makes it all the more galling that that was the part of the incident that the half time analysis yesterday and the 'post mortem' on SSN this morning completely ignored.
  17. Anyone know what time the usual pubs are opening pre-match? I know Sunday 11am is now a possibilty but I'm not sure if it requires a licence extension or whether any of the boozers in the vicinity of Firhill have one.
  18. This isn't going the way the OP had hoped.
  19. I'll second this. I was in for the County game and it was excellent. To be fair, Coopers would be next on my list. Unfortunately I'm working on Sunday so I won't be watching the game anywhere.
  20. OK. My bad on that specific post. However, my post earlier about the bloke in my work being surprised earlier relates to anyone being able to turn up at Firhill and buy tickets without any info whatsover being taken. I also posted earlier in this thread where I said I was sure the trouble at the GC final was partially blamed on the tickets being a free for all.
  21. As King of Spain said, those paying cash at Firhill gave as many details as I did when buying Thistle end tickets. ie. none.
  22. The implication being that not asking for details is unusual. That ties in with what my workmate was saying. We appear to be easy going about who we're selling to compared to others who are now dealing directly with Celtic fans.
  23. Docherty has 'un-resigned' and has now been appointed as the permanent manager.
