  1. Wee Gus is an absolute legend. PROUD TO BE A JAGS FAN!
  2. Really do like the strip. However, if I got my hands on one without the sponsor logo on it, I would die a happy man (nothing against macb) I know that both old firm teams make a certain amount of sponsor free shirts available on request whenever they bring a new top out. Would be great if we could do the same, although I guess macb would have a lot to say about that!
  3. Just phoned Greaves as I was hoping to get one without the sponsors logo. No luck though
  4. The club should definitely do something to celebrate the 40th anniversary while most of the squad and the manager are still alive. Sorry to be morbid but it's true!
  5. I know these boys really well, the drummer is a lapsed jags fan. Maybe it would bring him back if we used a tune he plays on.
  6. Have you seen the new Barca top? Not really anything traditional about that!
  7. If this is true, Cowan must be the most stupid man currently residing on planet earth! The journalist is simply going by what the club said in their press release earlier in the week!
  8. The home top is off the shelf. Plenty of teams down south had the paintbrush design with different colours. Reading for one. Furthermore, the quality of last season's strip was significantly worse than the strip before. The stitching and the quality of the material used were very poor.

  10. Actually quite surprised by this, I would presume that this will save the club an absolute fortune which in itself is great news. It's good to see the UK bring itself in to line with the rest of Europe - I've been to games at places like PSG where there are 30,000 plus fans who are genuinely MENTAL, no police anywhere in the ground. I just hope that the stewards who are now "in charge" don't let the power go to their heads, we really don't want Firhill to end up like Dens Park.
  11. I would recommend getting a taxi from cramlington/morpeth to blyth. We did that last time and it wasn't anymore than £3 each.
  12. Tom Maybe the situation could have been avoided if the communication with Blyth had been a bit better? And please don't take any of my posts personally as I fully appreciate the work you do at the club.
  13. Unfortunately it looks like all the cheap train tickets for the 9am train have gone, likewise with the train coming back, need to wait till 7.18 before getting a train. I really wish the club would get their finger out with things like this. Why is it confirmed on the Blyth site but not on ours?
  14. I've heard it will be a 40th anniversary '71 jersey.
  15. I'm not really in favour of this to be honest. But I would say a couple of things. I've been to a handful of junior games in the last few years and it is undoubtedly a better experience than firhill. £5 entry, stand n the terracing and watch players who are genuinely playing for the love of the game. Take Pollok as an example. Their match day experience is infinitely better value than firhill (and everywhere else) without even trying. Great social club with cheap prices. Some people seem awfully quick to rubbish the junior game in this country.
  16. Was a great day out last time, although it was about 3am by the time we got home due the usual capitulation of the rail service. Fantastic ground though.
  17. Who knows. He did the business with Ayr and to an extent St Mirren. Morton and QOS may have just been the wrong clubs for him. How many players have we seen over the years who have had bad spells with certain clubs but gone on to play really well for other clubs? Over the years I can think of many signings I was excited about that did f*ck all when in a jags top! And it works both ways. If Jackie Mac thinks he can do the business then why not.
  18. Well said that man. Delighted they are back up and I hope Somerset Park is around for many years to come.
  19. A Morton mate told me today that Stewart Kean is signing for us.
  20. Went to the game today, Clydebank were very poor and rarely threatened but I was very impressed by Ashfield. They defended extremely well and took their chances when they came along.
  21. Yes we'd all love to build the team around Erskine. But if Hearts come in for him he is gone, forget about it.
  22. Here's one you can believe - Erskine to Hearts.
  23. I really do hope that the installment scheme is handled considerably better than it was last season. Heard some horror stories concerning Eddie Prentice's disgraceful attitude towards supporters with regards to this.
