  1. Dunfermline sign Harry Cochrane and Anthony McDonald on loan from Hearts.
  2. Morton release defender Henk van Schaik one month after signing him.
  3. It what we're lacking. Say what you like about him, but Paul Paton brought grit to the 2012/13 league-winning team. We could do with that attitude.
  4. Guy spends days off with friends...where's my flaming torch?

  6. *Very* strange. I don't know how the meeting came about. Maybe someone can ask them at Foolan's testimonial. They'll *definitely* be there.
  7. You keep saying this. This isn't what yesterday's statement said. Again, a representative from the consortium has been meeting with fans to provide an outline of its proposals. If it can meet them, it can meet the trust reps/members.
  8. Erm, no. The statement doesn't say that the consortium has stipulated that. As I've said above, a member of the consortium has been meeting fans since June - it appears to be more than one or one single group - so it seems strange that they wouldn't be willing to meet with reps from the fans' trusts. And it certainly seems to put to bed any suggestion that the consortium can't communicate its vision to the supporters due to legal restrictions.
  9. 76 years in the second tier out of 107. Relegated to the third tier three times in the past 20 years. They played in the Premier League prior to that, albeit for one season.
  10. They were a Championship club when NewCity Capital/Pacific Media Group acquired its majority shareholding. In fact, they've spent the majority of their 107-year history in the second tier.
  11. You can't discount the fact they're playing in a higher division. But their fans a re bemoaning the sale of their best talent, the lack of investment in the playing squad and the "spreadsheet" nature of signings.
  12. That's the best case scenario. I appreciate we're in the early days of a new season, but have a look at the Barnsley fans' reaction on their forums to the four defeats they've suffered in the six games they've played this season, including Saturday's 1-3 loss to Luton.
  13. Posted this on Facebook, so I'll post it here, too... It nearly slipped my mind...back in June when I suggested that the takeover talk was a smokescreen to unseat sitting directors I was contacted by a fan - someone involved in events connected to the club, but an ordinary fan nonetheless - who told me that he and others had met someone from the consortium who "outlined what was going to happen". And yet the club Chairman has told the PTFC Trust that there are conditions attached to any meeting with the potential new owners. And some people are claiming there are legal reasons for blocking the Trusts' reps access to the buyers. What a crock of sh*t.
  14. They did. I specifically asked if they would lend their support to a meeting taking place *before* any deal was finalised
  15. Perhaps. But I'm sure the board's promise to improve communications means we'll know soon enough.
  16. 1. The potential new owners don't want to do it. I'd have expected the Chairman to state that if that was the case, though. 2. The sellers have had a change of heart regarding a meeting. 3. The takeover's on the rocks.
  17. Two of the four people who signalled their support for it at the Q&A *are* selling. We were told the Chairman supported it, too.
  18. The takeover was deep into the due diligence process when the question was asked of the board members at the Q&A. I asked the question about meetings with Trust reps/members expecting to be told that barriers existed to such a meeting, if that was indeed the case. No such barriers to any meetings were identified. Every one of the three board members present, plus the chief executive, signalled their support for a meeting.
  19. They can meet the Trusts' reps at the very least, @Firhillista
  20. Has it? The statement doesn't say that.
  21. There is no limit on the number of players a Scottish club can take on loan from a single English side.
