  1. Aw naw,we all must have got it wrong...the game's at Tannadice according to the Beeb. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25892635
  2. I somehow can't quite take to 'Maryhill is Wonderful', should be 'Firhill' instead, but 'Love Of My Life' is a cracker ... However, in almost 30 years of watching the Jags, I've never before heard the 'Sh*te for sh*te' chant when the opposition made a sub. That gave me a giggle.
  3. Adelaide,South Australia...but five days too late, so it's Airdrie,Raith and Falkirk for me instead. Mon the Jags!
  4. Count me in for £10. Adelaide Thistle 'Supporter' Club
  5. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/papercolumnists/aameranwar/4377745/The-beautiful-game-has-a-very-ugly-side.html Partick Thistle fans threw bananas at Mark Walters? Is this true or defamation of the highest order? I certainly don't recall it. I did find an article (Google: Partick Thistle bananas Mark Walters),however, that states there was an incident at,quote: 'Fir Park (Partick Thistle)'-WTF? Could this be the (innacurate?) source,or am I getting on my high horse over something that did happen? Answers please ... or rip into the Currant Bun.
  6. You won't be disappointed with the Barca club shop, and there's plenty to spend your pennies on instead. I was there a few years back and they had EVERYTHING you could imagine, including FBC branded kitchens, power tools and ... tuna! Still have my unopened tin somewhere. Enjoy.
  7. So you are returning to these muddy, shitty waters in October then my friend. I look forward to it greatly. Shame you couldn't have got to a Jags game though to see Jaggy Macs Red n Yella Army playing some silky soccer. What dates are you back so I can make sure I'm not in the sausage factory that weekend? How's things anyway, you working and playing hard? You not married yet? x

  8. Completely off topic but Vom,for having such an articulate name now,I see your language has not improved since the dark days of ptfc.net ; ) Recently booked a flight back to Scotland from Oz in October and was hoping to see the Jags in action and hear you turn the JHS blue, but it's international weekend-see you then for a beano anyway. Rowson must stay!Every team needs one ...
  9. Surely it's not the original Jagster back being a forumite?

  10. At a shareholders meeting many years ago we complained that whenever we played the Old Firm all the Jags players' coverage was only about what side they 'really' supported. It was taken on board back then and that line of questioning was avoided as a result.JM and SD are perfect candidates for this type of thing in the future so perhaps they need to be briefed on keeping to the issue in hand i.e. PTFC and tell reporters outright that they won't be answering questions on other irrelevant issues to Thistle, otherwise press conferences will always be hijacked by the narrow minded press.
  11. ... because the majority of Falkirk fans, even including the Old Firm, are THE most fickle, moany fans in Scottish football with a serious chip on their shoulder and live in a fantasy world perhaps? A First Division championship, five seasons in the SPL, 10 minutes from a top 6 finish, a League Cup semi, a Scottish Cup final, Europe and a decent brand of football (albeit mainly sideways, tippy-tappy, goal-less stuff) - all while dealing with one of, or the, lowest budgets in the top flight - just wasn't enough for the Bairns when it came to Yogi. I think they claim nowadays it was his 'ego' that p1ssed them off. I'd take an ego any day in return for all that and another trip to Europe (Metz anyone?) with the Jags. Third top this year isn't good enough either, because they want to go back to getting beat every weeek in a higher division instead, and, as a result, Pressley must go now (!) or they won't be renewing their season tickets, Goddammit. One look at the most humourous infighting OneF forum shows all that - even Jobby appears like he's already being run out of Falkirk, like Lambie was (literally), and he hasn't even got the job. Saying that, Hughes isn't the answer for us - part of his 'success', i.e. what most 'normal' fans would deem as being anyway, was due to his passion for FFC as a former player and captain. I'd give Jackie a chance ...
