  1. Was still showing £18.92 when I put in £10. Guess it's not updating immediately.
  2. Agree, though I think it would have been more worthwhile if we had a couple more experienced players in the team to give support to the youngsters and maybe give them a little more confidence. A more gentle introduction may have been a better approach rather than the mish mash which made it difficult for anyone to shine.
  3. Oops.. just as well we got a soft penalty! I thought taking off Balatoni and Bannigan was leaving the rest to be lambs to the slaughter and it was. If Fox were to leave or pick up an injury we will be in trouble. Still we can call it a Partick XI and not worry about it as we will not see that team again. The two trialists did not do anything that I would say would be worthy of a contract, having said that Grehan would not have got one on that performance either. Positive side, IMO Bannigan could have a big season for us. Out strongest side should match up well with anyone, but we will need to keep the injuries and suspensions in check.
  4. Sitting on the dock of the bay - Otis Redding oops Rockin Robin .. Jackson 5
  5. Well done to Darren on winning the British Open. Fantastic achievement, and to think he was probably only 3rd favourite from Northern Ireland. One of the good guys - liked the story of him buying everyone on an Easyjet flight a drink after his last win 6 weeks ago.
  6. Well that is a different one, but only two game a month, no thanks.
  7. It's a sad day when we cannot afford to put numbers on all our shirts. Hopefully the gate from yesterday will help solve this.
  8. Until Erskine is performing consistently and vastly improves his first touch I don't see anyone coming in for him anytime soonand certainly not during this window. As for January, unless he is consistent or is scoring goals on a more regular basis I don't think he will be going anywhere this season. Quirky player, that from a viewing point of view can be both exciting and frustrating in equal measure, though far more fun than a team of steady eddies!
  9. Glenbuck Cherrypickers, now defunct. Nice tribute from Liverpool fans to Shanks... Inverness Clachnacuddin for teams still in existence.
  10. Good posts for the goals, but in defense of Thomas I think he was joking. Keep them coming!
  11. Boy done good. He looks very promising and with Paton on the other side could give us some good width when they get forward. I know it was a young sellick side, but overall it was a good performance and far more positive than against Motherwell. On another note, pitch looked in good nick and was made a change to see it without the rugby lines. Hopefully have a few more weeks before they reappear.
  12. Any other great predictions for the season ahead? Turned out to be a decent little earner for a preseason friendly, together with a good result not a bad day!
  13. Totally agree. I've only had positive comments from fans of other clubs, who think it was a great picture. Too many people on here have used this to have a pop at Gus, whereas if it was someone like Chic doing this it would have been treated as a big laugh. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Pamplona and are cheered to here the tic left with their tail between their legs today!
  14. So he thinks Celtic are more real then REAL Madrid!!! He's been out in the sun too long!
  15. For me Fox Paton Balatoni Archie Sinclair Rowson Bannigan Cairney Erskine Stewart Doolan Kinniburgh, Flannigan and Grehan being the unlucky ones to miss out. I really hope Bannigan gets a start, looks like the creative player we need, though will require to rely on Paul getting forward to provide the width.
  16. Don't what out debt is standing at, but clearing that would cut our repayments and give us a good base to move forward.
  17. March of the Pigs - Nine Inch Nails
  18. Still early pre-season and we looked a bit ragged at times. When we did get forward we flaffed about around the box without looking very threatening. The big positive of the night was the introduction of Bannigan in the second half. He was always wanting the ball and looked confident with it. Could be the man to play alongside Rowser in midfield for me.
  19. Dead man walkin - Bruce Springsteen
  20. In summary: Anti-bullfighting but ok about the bull run. Not comfortable about what goes on in an abattoir, but still eat meat. So I'll still buy from Greaves and the Pie stall. And that is me finished with this aspect of the thread.
  21. I cannot recall seeing anyone calling you a 'stupid little girl', if they did they should be ashamed of themselves. This thread was an is not about Greaves using animal cruelty to promote our new top, it was about a fan who happened to appear in some pictures/videos. The thread was then hijacked 'greaves using animal cruelty to promote our new top' Check the start of the thread, the rest came later. Fell free to add a new thread if you wish in the non football section.
  22. As long as its not an Airedale he is rolling, it should be ok!
  23. Curious, does animal cruelty extend to all creatures or just the ones people like? I'll ponder on that one while I'm trying to resuscitate the flies on my headlamps.
