Ive found the official PTFC twitter page (http://twitter.com/ThistleTweet) which is giving some updates, but there is no mention of why there is no text update service today, Sean Welsh just hit the post, and now Bannigan has picked up a booking.

Whats happening with the official site today? There appears to be no text updates. Although according to Sky Sports website, "Erskene" has just put us 1-0 up!

My dad was posting on behalf of me so thanks for letting us know. I presume a lot of Thistle fans might give the first game a miss tomorrow?

I feel Fraser has been unfairly treated by McNamara. We went through a barren spell at one point in the season, and everyone was given a chance to try and end our goal drought, we tried different combinations of strikers and even Kieran Burns got a start away to Hamilton, but despite scoring a few goals for the reserves Fraser was still never given a chance for the first team, not even as a substitute. I think at a Meet the Manager event or something similar last summer, McNamara made it quite plain that he didnt fancy Fraser because he said that he felt McCall had given him a 2 year deal far too soon. I dont understand this view myself because like you say, any time he played in the previous season he looked impressive and scored a few goals. So I think he will be on his way out of Firhill, although we would need to give him a pay off. He gave Burns a few games then released him, Fraser played no games last season, so I think he will leave as well.

HT 2-0 Jags. So far so good. We have to keep it tight though and hopefully get a third, because Ayr have a habit of making comebacks. I remember earlier in the season they came back from 2-0 down at Hamilton to win 3-2. So we dont want to get too complacent.

Oh right, I didnt realise that. Whoever created it did a brilliant job. However, the pedant in me noticed a couple of errors - in the list of player names at the bottom, a K Erskine and a C Doolan are listed. Clearly, the C and K have been mixed up. But it appears to be perfect apart from that.

Did anyone else notice the cool page in Saturday's programme which was celebrating the players who have played for the Jags over the past 50 years? It had a picture of all these players from different eras together as if they were all posing for a team photograph, with the names of every player on every row listed at the bottom. My only complaint though, is that it is far too small! So it got me thinking. This would be a great poster for all Thistle fans to have up on their walls, so would the club consider blowing the picture up to poster size and selling them? As well as being a cool poster it would also be a good wee money spinner for the club, they could be priced at £5 each. What does everyone else think of this idea?

Yeah thats a good idea, but also brings up a good point - who is our mascot now that Jaggy MacBee has buzzed off?

Someone I know knitted this Thistle mascot soft toy for me years ago, but I was clearing out and I feel I outgrew it years ago. But rather than give it away to the charity shop I'd rather see another fan get it. Do any of you have a child or know someone who might like it. If so could you pm me (or reply to this thread) and we could arrange to hand it over to you at Firhill before a home match?
