  1. Playing Gall would be harsh on Fox no? He had a couple of silly errors but in the main he really did keep us in the game
  2. Really pleased with the result yesterday even more so because i got to watch the game on ALBA in the house.. Not often i get to see Thistle on the telly.. The upcoming game i have a bad feeling about.. I think we always seem to struggle against teams who are coming off a run of straight defeats.. Hope Doolan keeps his starting spot as he needs a few games to sort himself out.. I don't really see why Stevenson should be an automatic start and would like to see Craigen in again.. Keenan should be on the bench at least.. and anyone know the latest on Eccleston?
  3. was hoping stevenson would show up today playing in his preferred role.. he didn't.. waste of a wage at this point.. mind you i just watched the game on ALBA wasnt at the actual match.. would appreciate an other opinion
  4. Will be having a few drams this eve when watching the game on ALBA.. nicely done guys though a thought for Gary Fraser.. deserved to be there today hope he is back soon
  5. seriously guys please just keep possession.. please!.. Hook Banzo the now!
  6. pull Banzo and stick on craigen to avoid the predictable red card?
  7. still sounds like our defense is shaky as hell on the radio.. Fox keeping us in the game
  8. If true that would be horrific for the lad
  9. Id like to see stevenson start on the bench but doubt Archie has the courage to try it :/
  10. think Taylor only scored about 4 goals while playing down south in league 1.. Came up here and stuck a load away for Falkirk and us also.. So im happy to give Eccleston some time and see what he can do
  11. Apart from thinking we could have had 1 more CB.. I'm quite happy with the transfer window now. Hope the new guys get settled in nicely over the next week. Looking forward to seeing Eccleston in action, hopefully his signing puts the Stevenson as striker trial to bed, though I would still rather Dools be given a start as he has definitely earned it.. or who knows.. we could maybe play 2 strikers at once!! Also this team means there will be plenty of opportunity's to get the younger guys some first team experience. I'm making the trip up for the Inverness game and looking forward to getting behind the team!
  12. Who could have predicted their start to the season? When we played them last week we thought we were playing against a team that was a candidate for relegation (might still be tbh)
  13. sounds like we getting hammered so far.. one off the line
  14. playing against Dundee and Hamilton and being largely ineffective against 2 of the weakest teams we will face doesn't fill me with confidence he can do better against Aberdeen.. should have given Dools a start
  15. actually makes me angry.. Dools proved himself midweek.. Stevenson is totally ineffective upfront when will he realize this?
  16. http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2014-2015/august_2014/thistle_sign_left_back_jake_carroll encouraging signing lots of experience.. very happy with this
  17. "The move came out of the blue to be honest but when the opportunity arose to sign, I grabbed it with both hands" Nice to see we aint making any rash signings
  18. fair enough.. midfield has been bolstered lack of foresight has left us completely inadequate in other areas. I realize your trying to make a point but really.. our midfield was strong last year its strong this year.. the areas that needed work have had almost no help. 3 more days..
  19. i can say without a doubt outside of Celtic I believe we now have one the strongest midfields in the league.. However its not the area that needed strengthened.. Its all well and good having an amazing midfield.. pretty crap when your defense is understaffed and we aren't starting with a striker
  20. [quote name='dougie247' timestamp='1409233422' post='199160'} During the summer you were quite happy to insult people who were worried about the lack of transfer activity and the paper thin depth of the squad.. Holding my hand up here i confused you with a different poster.. Sorry about that Still think if you believe the team has been strengthened when we are playing a barely tested kid at LB and our main striker is a midfielder then your nuts and delusional
  21. You seriously have your head in the sand mate.. During the summer you were quite happy to insult people who were worried about the lack of transfer activity and the paper thin depth of the squad.. 3 days before the end of the transfer window and 3 games into the season.. We have injury's to 2 players in our weakest part of the team and have almost no cover for it.. We have 1 recognized striker who hasn't started a game yet in the premiership The injury's are unfortunate and expose just how bad this transfer window has been.. We have 4 points from 9 against the teams that we are sure to be battling against at the end of the season.. Admittedly its 3 games into the season so a lot can change.. So please give us some positive points to be happy about
  22. Sitting on my Dads shoulders in the shed watching the game The toilets up against the back of the Shed steam and piss everywhere In the Jackie Husband stand as Jim White walked along the edge of the pitch and the entire stand was shouting "Jim Whites a ******" * if i can add a number 4.. My auntie screaming abuse at Martin O'Neil as he was being driven up to the back of the Jackie Husband stand *5 standing outside firhill protesting about Jim Oliver
  23. unused in 1 league game started and then was hooked just after half time the 2nd.. and now they just brought in another striker...
  24. Taylors move confuses me.. instead of choosing to be a constant choice in our first team and put him self on constant show.. he preferred to take a bit more money and sit on the bench?
