  1. I am not talking about a one man show. Its probably a very long shot but I would love 3 or 4 well off, financially astute business people to join the current board and get the club kick started, but doubt thats gonna happen. Personally I would take anything over what we have now. I dont think many fans understand how close to the abyss we proabably are and a drop into Div 2 could finish the club off for good. One multi millionaire owner or possible oblivion.....what would you prefer??
  2. I didnt make it up, its fact. There are individuals on here that only want "Thistle minded" money men on board and the thought of having a non jags person at the helm sends them into a frenzy. I would imagine Cowan, Hughes and Prentice were all financially well off, if not millionaires , Beattie, Allan, Gilfillan and Bannerman are all millionaires, Oliver and Springford were multi millionaires, McMaster probably a millionaire. There are other as well, that have served on the board over the last 10 years that were well off. Where have these mostly "Thistle minded" guys got us??? Bottom of Div 1, facing relegation, £1.5m debt, threats of part time football or even worse!!! Yeah lets keep the boardroom doors open for Thisle minded people only!!!! The club needs major investment and in this day and age, where our crowds are now hitting 1500, some people need a reality check! We are in no position to pick and chose who wants to invest in the club
  3. Basically we need massive investment to get the club back on its feet yet there are still people on here that would not even accept Roman Abramovich as an investor, if he ditched Chelsea. You really have to laugh at some people. The club is on the verge, the crowds are leaving in their droves, the grounds a shambles, we are up to our eyeballs in debt, we have an old team, we have a manager that has lost his way and we are bottom of the table, but mention bringing a multi millionaire on board and they start taking fits!! You couldnt make it up!!!
  4. I have backed McCall from day 1 even though Dickie Gough was my choice for manager, but his record from the turn of the year has sacking written all over it. Cant see us getting anything in the back to back Ross games and if that transpires I cannot see him surviving. In saying that, whats the chances of him leading us to a Cup Final.....wouldnt that just be typical Thistle????
  5. Bring back the great Lambini for yet another Messiah like revival....ok only kidding but things are geting desperate!!!
  6. Official attendance 2188 which means we probably had around 1500....things are serious and the board either need to give him some money to bring in a couple of loans (strikers) or we are almost certainly going down or raise the money to get rid of him
  7. Think this has been rolled out about 7 times this season and about 20 times since the turn of the year!!! Yawn!! http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2010-2011/september_2010/dunfermline_-_after_match_reaction
  8. 3 lapsed mates were with me today....oh dear, they wont be forking out £17 to watch that in a hurry. Worrying signs. Brilliant day, holiday weekend, Cowan, Hughes and Prentice gone, top of the table visiting......crowd just over 2100!!!! Right now I would settle for a play off spot

    Rumour

All the way to Firhill hopefully!!
  10. I texted 6 of my lapsed mates when the news came out....these are guys that were regular home and away-ers from the 60s and 70s and season ticket holders up to the Dickie era. Two have already replied saying they will be back on Saturday, one of them being Sting from the PTFC.NET days. I had a great day at Ayr on Saturday but Firhill is my spiritual Saturday home, so roll on the Dunfermline game!!
  11. With rumoured debts of £1.5m it doesnt take a scientist to work out where the majority of the £300,000 would go
  12. No surprises there. Just why are you against multi millionaires investing money in a club that is basically bankrupt??
  13. Cant imagine there would be many upset jags fans if Melville switched his interest to us and pumped in £1.5 million. Bit of a difference there, in comparison to the manager being given buttons to spend and having to constantly look at junior players and has been said before, it wouldnt be club money he would be spending, because just in case no one has heard, seemingly we aint got any!!!
  14. Will do GPT.My mates were so impressed they took their better halfs there on Friday....and they all come from the South Side!
  15. Add Bannerman and Gilfillan to the mix and then we might start getting somewhere....we really need these 5 out....NOW!!!
  16. Thanks DS. You know as little as 5 years ago 7 of us went to every game home and away and had been doing so since prior to the 71 league cup winning days. One by one we have fallen by the wayside, for one reason and one reason only...the board. Now its down to me and tomorrow I am going to the Ayr Gold Cup and gonna have a great day. I should be at Dumfries, but I just cant take any more of these clowns heading MY club into administration and not giving a toss in the process. Summing up....the board and no one else has halved our crowds by 50%....RESIGN and RESIGN NOW before its too late!!!!!
  17. Its you thats got the problem!!
  18. Is that not where we are just now??
  19. So a multi multi millionaire coming on board is not a realistic option to you...I take it the club going into administration is????
  20. Talk of the devil, she has just appeared on BBC breakfast tv advertising her BBC proggie 71 degrees North which is on tonight,,,,,awe naw she has just said that she spent 6 weeks at Celtic training for the programme!!
  21. Bump....can some rep from the JT come on and say if this is a goer. She wants to invest in a football club, she has plenty of financial clout, shrewd business woman, she aint a black, one eyed lesbian saxaphone player....cant see what will stop her investing in a Glasgow football institution
  22. What possibly can be lost by the Truss...eh I mean Trust approaching her. The club is on the verge, we need a clear out on the board, she has financial clout and most importantly she has openly come out and said she wants to invest in a football team. I assume she is from Glasgow. Investing in the Infirm would probably be a no-no, so we must be the next best alternative. Think of the publicity she would get if she turns us round and gets us back to the SPHell. The Trust MUST approach her now!!!
  23. We started off a wee Finnieston pub crawl in the Brass last night. My mates were very impressed. Tried the Half and Half and its soooperb. Had to have a pint of it at the end of the night so we started and finished in the Moonkey. Is the rock night still on GPT, if so whens the next one?
  24. Jaf...your are 100% spot on Magnificent post!!
