Off Peak Return To Edinburgh £12.10 Off Peak Return Edinburgh to Musselburgh £3.10 Total £15.20 (cheap day returns) If you're going out on sunday, back on monday then buy the following Off peak return £21.90 (this is the old Saver ticket) On the sunday it is cheap day all day, but if its an overnighter, you cant travel back from Musselburgh before 0915 Tickets can be bought on the day, or you can get them at stations or on train on the day or in advance.

  8. Line problem: between Ayr and Stranraer. Owing to a person hit by a train between Ayr and Stranraer all lines are blocked. Train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes at short notice. For anyone using services to Milngavie, the line is suspended between westerton and milngavie, the wires are down at bearsden, at present there are buses between westerton and milngavie....this is expected to last until 1500 (according to journeycheck) Also points failure at Barrhead, services subject to delays, and cancellations...no time for service resumption yet

    Not so much bad, more cheesier than a tramps bell end Slaughter High (aka April Fools Day), about a group of students who play pranks on a nerd which goes all wrong, and 5yrs later are invited to a reunion...you know how the rest goes,...i think it cost $20 to shoot, also stars the actor who plays terry from emmerdale in it with an AMAZING american accent...i think he came from the wee american state of yorkshire

It's ok to drink on all trains as they all have a license to sell/consume drink, stations are governed by their local council rules, but you'll find that you can't drink on most station platforms. Only time its banned is usually if theres a special event on...ie rugby or the ugly sisters are playing....there's usually posters up. Next set of dry trains will probably be the cup final

  21. Due to a fire near barrhead station, the line between central and killie/carlisle (via annan) has been closed on police orders.....exclusion zone put in place due to acetelyne canisters being involved

  23. All i can think of is it may have a 'tie up' with another service or may have done in the past, a bit like at crianlarich in the winter wouldnt be a crew change as thats too long a set down

  25. Sadly this is to do with the line speed on that stretch of the track rather than the train, a 156 has a max speed of 75mph, but on the line there is a lot of speed restrictions caused by bridges etc
