  1. awwwwww that's a very cyncial response to what was a message wishing Stephen good luck for the future. And I'd caution you against asking people on the internet how old they are..................... bit too close to "the tree" if you ask me. #filthycreep
  2. its maybe a bit too red but it is really nice. I like the socks especially Is is available in long sleeve for Dads like me???
  3. all the best Stephen A great player and a lovely bloke. He agreed to have a pic taken with my daughter and he was so kind and generous. She has that pic pride of place on her wall. For me, I'm a right back and I always tried to copy SOD. I even got my name and the number 2 on my shirt. Very best of luck for the future and thanks for everything
  4. When my kids were getting autographs i thanked all the players. each one looked up, acknowleged me and thanked US for coming along. So good to see role models for my kids in this day and age. We managed to get interviewed on Clyde 1 too. Great day
  5. Thanks for all your hard work, style and effort Higgy. You'll never be booed here! You gave your all for this club and we thank you. I've never seen a man who didnt have the gait of a player be such a genius. Goodbye Higgy - our loss
  6. Is it not time we had a chant prepared for the next home game? Please send in your entries here for this Eurovision Song Contest style decider. This is my mine: (to the tune of "We score when we want") Our mascot's the sun Our mascot's the sun He'll scare all your children Our mascot's the sun
  7. What was Cammy Bell doing for that first goal? Well hasn't it been a great season? I got to text my sellic supporting mates when they lost the semi final. Yesterday, I was saying to them "so why are the sellic not in the scottish cup final"? hahhahahhahah and now the sevco make a mess and they lose as well.just hilarious ! hahahhahhahhahhhhah :) :)
  8. I'm all for the club promoting community causes and schools, I just think it should be on the twitter feed and not the website in my experience of running a secondary school (yep) all the publicity and links you can get are essential as a jags fan, stick ALL these kind of things on the twitter - that is the fairest way for all schools and local community things. Having one school on the webite may look elitist.
  9. So sad to see him go. A cult figure, a hero and a bloody nice bloke. all the best. Now please join in as, for the last time, we all sing: "Doo Doo Doo Conrad Balatoni"!
  10. Am I the only one surprised by the official website congratulating Jordanhill school in the Independent School cup? i haven't seen any other mentions of other school events. Think of how many glasgow city council schools serve the Maryhill area? Why choose an "opt out" school to mention? When i got to the final of the firhill cup, our outstanding player was a goalkeeper from Ruchill. And he was a Primary 7 pupil in a local school! What next? Let's congratulate Eton school for winning the inter house debating society trophy?
  11. tell us more..........................?
  12. any news of when the kit will be launched? School holidays at the end of june! SPFL has a new font style: http://www.sporting-id.com/SPFL%20Product%20Page%20for%20Email%203-01.jpg Doubt you can get it in the club shop!
  13. i know mr beattie wants ideas to get more money into the club. why not get the new kits out asap? some teams use them in their last home game of the season so they sell all summer with the school holidays coming up, its always an excuse for kids to get the latest gear to take on hols - and me too! sell them all summer - dont wait till september!!
  14. Knock knock Who's there? Martin hardie I'm calling the police
  15. My wife read about this in the papers (she's not a football fan) She said "Is that Big Mad Mental Martin Hardie?" Just glad she wan't on the jury ...............................
  16. I've no real connection to the 1971 strip - it was out 8 years before I was born Bear in mind that the first time i ever saw the jags- this was the kit - http://image.wikifou...1819/GW1102H816 Imagine how that melted my brain - do we always wear a red yoke??? Is the Colonel Gees thing always there???? eh???? Do we always have a vertical stripe on the thigh of the tiny shorts????!!!??? others teams have gone back to basics. Aberdeen have the new old badge - http://pictures.foot.../4/834120-1.jpg Brendan Rodgers brought back the Liverpool crest - http://d.ibtimes.co....13-home-kit.jpg AND the red goal nets - http://cdn.c.photosh...-Leverkusen.jpg other teams have gone retro - Southampton - http://images.footba...orne/107526.jpg The Sellik - http://cdn.football-...eltic_third.jpg AND http://www1.pictures...zksTD1Jl_nl.jpg Yon Sevco mob - http://static0.demot...-30_1697935.jpg AND http://www.just-foot...Kit-2010-11.jpg Our kit should be a good seller - even to those who are neutral. I bought last seasons strip with names and numbers for me and my two kids. This season, the wife was saying that theres no point buying a kit as its so similar to last season - she had a point and so Santa brought Scotland kit A version of the simple 70s kit would be different, unique, get people talking and get people buying Goddam Killie had a star on their badge at one point !!!!!????? it will make or break us, cos we've got to buy the best ...............................................
  17. I think that they are probably already made by now. Retro kits are really in just now. did you see the West Brom Jeff Astle Tribute? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/03/26/10/2701447B00000578-3012661-image-a-6_1427366642894.jpg How about a version of this one. http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/1/1vR2chH2JiAAwKBYb071og709544/GW958H622 simple, classic and different to what we've seen recently
  18. Saturday is our first home match since the tragic passing of Chico. I was wondering, what can we do as fans and a club to show our support? A few ideas minute silence minute applause ALL of us wearing black arm bands or tape Fans all wearing funny moustaches as a tribute to his style and humour? any ideas?
  19. This complaint dossier they sent to the SFA, was it called: "It's no fair, they cheated, I cannae take it, It's ma baw and I'm no playing any more" EVERY team suffers from mistakes - deal with it. Referees are HUMAN and, as such, make mistakes. What is the solution here, to kill humans and install robots - I think not. Poor old Sellik, eh. But what about: England cheated by hand of god Frank Lampard not being given a goal against Germany That mad German goalie nearly killing Batison Les Mottram missing the united goal at Firhill as it hit the inside of the goal Clive Allen for Crystal Palace in the 80s when he had a goal not given just like the Mottram goal Geoff Hurst's 2 goal hat trick ............................................... This is a smoke screen to take away from the fact that they lost the game fair and square and cannae take it
  20. Great stuff! keep spreading the Jags word. And btw, my third is 7 weeks old - so he is next! 2 boys and a girl - one of them MUST be a Prince (or Princess) of Spain!
  21. on 7 April 2013, I took my daughter to her first Jags match - Ramsdens cup final v QoS She's been hooked ever since! On Saturday 2 May 2015 I'm taking her 6 year old brother to his first game v St Mirren He is a jags fan but is tempted by the Sellik and Real Madrid (!) Hopefully it is a great game and starts him on that journey......................... oh, and thanks to my Uncle John who did the same for me in 1987-88 !
  22. Andy Walker was really biased to celtic today Matthews gave away a free kick for a fairly unremarkable bad tackle. Walker said "Matthews had every right to stand his ground there" Aye, but it was a foul!!!! ya numpty
  23. if i had said to you 10 years ago, or even 5, that the rangers would be in a lower division losing 3 nil to QoS while the jags were in the top fight beating Dundee Utd 2 nil at tannadice ....... Is life just a dream???????
  24. I just stumbled upon this Hull City fansite which is an archive of the evolution of the club kit over the years. I think it is really interesting: http://hullcitykits.co.uk/kit-archive/ Would anyone be IT literate enough to one of these for the Jags? I'm sure we could all chip in.
