You are correct in that belief. I don't think it would quite be fair to say they haven't cut it yet - just seems that with the way the rest of the team is set up (to get a lot of crosses in) that they are simply the wrong type of striker.
Wasn't exactly brilliant with St Johnstone last season. If he impresses in training and wages aren't too much then could be worth a go.
Or we could have kept Stef Craig.
When the CF was formed, it was 5k a year to get on the board (basically to pay for hospitality) however as ian_mac says this is no longer a requirement. Beattie said at the last AGM that people were only going to be brought onto the board if they provided a specific skill set that we needed. Obviously I am unaware of the inner workings of the club but I find it hard to argue with PT's post below. Should it not be more transparent who is responsible for what?
I believe that Billy Allan (actually his company Europa) also deal with running the office and also the stadium.
Back to the team for tonight...
I personally would play Gallacher, but reckon Archie will go for:
Fox;
SO'D, Gabriel, Conrad, ATS;
Iassac, Fraser, Forbes;
Craigan, Baird, Henock
Yes, as it happened under the jurisdiction of another FA it's up to them if they decide they want to submit the report or not. More often than not they don't bother.
I belive it was set up much in the same way as the kit deals were. Ie a lump sum per season plus bonuses if certain sales targets are met.
There must have been a reason he didn't put them forward before the SS deal started, but as far as I know he's certainly still involved in McGhees.
Apparently Simon Colina is the other signing. Not sure if he was the Spanish trialist, though I think people said that player was 20 years old? Simon http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/simon-colina/profil/spieler_223722.html is not.
Best to contact the club and ask for Iain Dodd (who now runs the CF draw). If you have won cash/hospitality these are usually posted out in form of a cheque and/or letter.
Not sure what happens with signed top or balls.
Ah yes, all those loans we sent Erskine on must have made him realise that he wasn't truely loved by those at Firhill and made him sign his PCA with Utd.
