Also how do you know that Archie thought the players weren't good enough? And why didn't he get rid of them all then?

We still have 90% of the squad we had last yr with a few additions! that doesn't make us considerably weaker. The team before the jan window secured us 14-15 points last yr, let's see how many we have this yr. yes we need and hopefully do get another couple of players in, but will not be surprised if it was loan deals like last. So after all the windows are shut only time will tell if we have a weaker side, but not 4 games into a season.

Can all the Lawles bashers please show some examples that deserve him to be made the scapegoat again. He was left out today due to the physical side of the game today. He has not started the season badly, but is getting it tight on here from some. Our problem right now is we are trying to fit Stevenson into the team in a position he isn't used to playing. He plays in midfield, not out wide left or right. So if we are going to accommodate him who drops out, osman, Fraser or bannigan. It is not Lawless's or Elliott's fault that Archie is playing players out of position. So who drops out if we play Stevenson in his true position?

But that's where you are wrong, they were good enough to keep us up. And the original statements were we are weaker...we are not weaker than last yr at his time. Also what gives us a divine right not to be in a relegation battle, we have one of the smallest budgets in this league and going by the current transfer window , we ain't going to attract world beaters.

ATS has left,but has been replaced with a guy that has started 1 game for us, so jury is still out on him. Welsh..still out injured, so bring in Osbourne, but osman seems just as good if not better. Forbes out...Stevenson in, yes he hasn't started well, but he should be at least Forbes level at worse. Kerr out...Higgy in. No comparison! Also we have signed another striker today, So by my reckoning we are better off at this stage of the season than last yr. another couple of loan deals and we should have a squad capable of keeping us up no problem.

The 2 best players on Tuesday don't start today? Hopefully Archie knows what he's doing. Maybe going for the physical side, but Dools must be wondering what he has to do to get a start.

Lawless chased back very well today, yes he lost a few balls that were put to him, but who didn't, muscled off every ball? Not the game I seen today, yes we were second to every ball but pick him out today is scandalous, Stevenson was rotten, Higgy had a very quiet game until his wonder goal, Fraser got over ran in the midfield and never got going all day, banzo at times was running about like a headless chicken, osman was lost in midfield the last 20 min and the game started to by pass our midfield totally. No penetration from our left back or right back, Keenan I thought had a decent game, but no end product from him. Sod was back to his usual, couldn't cross the rd at times. Him and frasers crossing was terrible, we kept hitting the first defender. Dools, who I love, was at fault for their equaliser, lost possession and tried to chase back but the guy ran the full length of the pitch without being tackled. Muirhead just tries to lump the ball most of the time but only succeeds to hit it 30ft in the air straight up, plus he never won a header all day. So as you say plenty to pick from today, we must be worth a fortune if all these players are paying us to play. Lawless wasn't the worst today. Bad day at the office, we move on and hopefully get better next week.

What game were you at, he wasn't at his best, but put a shift in today and shouldn't have been subbed. Stevenson is a total passenger right now, he should have been off at half time with dools replacing him. Elliot done ok when he came on, but no end product from us today.

We'll if the management team had made their mind up that he wasn't good enough, it seems he was told he was surplus to requirements at the beginning of pre season, hence no playing time in pre season. The guy didn't like what he was offered and the club and him must have eventually came to an agreement. We have saved a full seasons wages minus his pay off. Why would we pay him a full seasons wages of about £30k if he wasn't going to feature. If he has accepted anything less, we have saved money. Also doubt we would have offered anywhere near 50% of his yrs wage. If we have saved £15k for example, then that money could go on 2 pro youth players or it is 50% towards a player who could play in the 1st team if we sign anyone else.

How does it show how little we've come? If the gaffer has decided to release someone who he feels doesn't inhance our team, then that's him doing his job. We are not a rich club and cannot afford to throw wages to players who will not feature in our first team squad, so it's up to the gaffer to decide who is and who isn't. If Archie can bring someone who can do a job for our first team squad with the wages we are saving then so be it. That is the nature of the game we all love. Players come and go.

If the gaffer who seen him every day in training for a yr didn't think he was going to cut it at this level, then rather than pay him a full wage for a yr, we cut our losses and offer him a severance deal a hell of a lot less than a yrs wage. So money saved I think, that could go towards a new players wage.

The biggest piss aff for me after just 2 games are the fans at the game looking for scape goats. Just after Dundee scores, 2 yahoos started screaming for Lawless to be substituted. What did he do wrong at the goal...nothing. Then when they got the penalty another yahoo started on balatoni, there was also another walloper who was screaming for Elliot to get to **** and that he was useless cos the guy tried to run the ball into the corner, but ran it out instead. Especially when the team are down to 10 men they need supporting not looking for players to scream abuse at. We all have players that we think do not deserve to be in the team, but every player that pulls a thistle top on should be backed to the hilt. Rant over!!!

Since no thread started for Saturday, thought I would. I cannot see Archie making any changes to the team. Hopefully another 3 points. Cannot wait for this, a wee early rise and up in Dundee for 12. Mon the Jags.

But it is relevant if as you ask, he was a thistle player. So as a thistle fan I wouldn't renew my season books if he played for us and was convicted of rape.

Do you think 3 yrs in jail is enough for raping someone? I don't personally, think he should be banged up for at least 10 yrs for raping anyone. And he should never be near another pro team. This isnt me being vindictive, this is coming from someone who has 2 daughters and 3 grand daughters, personally I would kill the chunt who did that to any my family!!

I am in agreement with, we need some more depth to our squad, but serious question.....after Wednesday night and that performance, if and I know it is a massive IF, but if they can keep that performance up, who do we drop. If we get a striker and a left back, who do we drop from the starting line on Wednesday?

I walked straight in with another 3 of my family at 7:30 and there was no queues. No complaints from me.
