  1. Utter dross. The whole team are putting smiles on our faces at the moment. The Bridge is the new Chic, McQuade, Trigger, Roberts and Harkins all in one. Over half of Roberts' goals have came from the penalty spot this season, his goal to game ratio is flattering in that sense. Yes, he is a Thistle legend but he left at the right time and we don't need him now.
  2. Just phoned St. Johnstone. There will be a pitch inspection at 10am tomorrow.
  3. No word of an inspection, so all aboard the express train to Hampden!
  4. See the confidence Paton has in Fox?!? One of the first clips shows it. Paton KNOWS Fox is going to get the ball, so realises he doesn't need to chase it and starts his forward run which Fox spots. What a difference!
  5. Let's not lose sight of the fact that JA was a meglomaniac, took credit for the work of others and cannot use correct grammar. (Remember his manifesto for getting elected?!?)
  6. I was reading that team, and thinking "wow - how strong is our national team at the moment?!", then I got to the "strikers"... ERSKINE FOR SCOTLAND!
  7. The latest of a long line of fringe players who I will do my best to support, although he did have a stinker on Saturday.
  8. All JA did was take ideas from other people and try to implement them. We'll still get what we want, just without the middle man taking all the credit.
  9. Did someone just say that Erskine is "replaceable"?!!??!??!!!?? We've waited 40 years for another Denis McQuade! I'm not giving the Bridge away that easily!
  10. Who do they thnk they've signed?!?!??! My linkSnort, giggle, guffaw...
  11. Seriously? That will go down as one of the worst televised games ever, and I include our Sky debut in that!
  12. I think TL may have just creamed himself.
  13. No immediate need for another striker in my opinion. Get the Big Man back and sign up Fox on a riduclously lavish deal, then see what we've got left.
  14. WHY!?!?!?! Why would you do this?!?!? Just type it you stuttering numpty! Think he's been talking to Pressley about Falkirk's perceived style of play.
  15. And the latest from Central Park, Cowdenbeath 3 Partick Thistle 0... It's the Way of the Thistle.
  16. Still nothing from Pressley? 2 words "sack" "ing". Could we prove to be the benchmark? If you lose against us, you get sacked? Could we dislodge 2 managers in 1 week?!?! O'Neill lost his job yesterday, Pressley today? HOW EXCITING!
  17. Great to see the young lads signing on for another couple of years. Fraser impressed us all the other night. The thing I like about him is that he has already bulked up (see previous issues with the likes of Strachan, McGoldrick and even Mark Stewart) because he used to play rugby! I think the Fox deal will be rectified once the replay is done and dusted. McCall will know exactly what his budget will be then.
  18. All this chat of Ricky Gillies and Stevie Nicholas has made me feel a bit queasy. Here's something to cheer us all up:
  19. I was pretty disappointed about the call off yesterday, but it got me thinking... We could really make Tuesday a magic night. Remember all those amazing weeknight Scottish Cup ties over the years? Up at Caley, Dundee, Ibrox? It'd be brilliant to still get 1000 odd fans turning up on Tuesday, outnumbering the ken brigade and creating a great atmosphere - flags n'all. I'll be there, and I'll be bringing a few folk in the car. Let's get up for this!
  20. Let's sign him as a first team coach - then he could stand right beside Pressley and sledge him.
  21. Ridiculous. The snow was well forecast, Falkirk had plenty of warning. Both teams will lose money today. Could see over a thousand Jags fans there today. Lucky to get half of that on Tuesday. They really should have tried their hardest to get this game on. Calling it off before the inspection just shows that they didn't bother their arse.
  22. This thread is disgusting. I was in the seated area yesterday and had a brilliant time. Thought the Thistle fans were in good spirits, and agree that there were some moans when Stirling hit the post. There was a feeling of "Here we go again", but that quickly left as we again took a foothold in the game. I thought the singers were brilliant and I was reminded of one of our last trips to the real Brockville when the singers were in the shed and the rest of us were behind the goals. The singers gave us all a bit of a slagging - "Thistle - gie's a song, Thistle, Thistle - gie's a song" to which we replied "Who're the fannies in the shed?" Good natured, fun banter between fans. Seriously, who cares if the majority of fans weren't singing? We were there, getting behind the team. Lots of encouragement for the players from where I was sitting. Sorry we're not all the kind of fans who get steamin before games and cough up blood because we've sang so much, but I really enjoyed myself yesterday and we got a great result. I'm just so cheesed off that some people have to ALWAYS focus on negatives, no matter how small they are.
