Over here in Aussie the main killer of men is Heart Disease that is mainly contributed to poor eating habits. Second on the list is Prostate and Bowel Cancer and this is mainly due to men just being too damn lazy in going for a simple test. We shoulsd all just be more kind to our bodies.

It was another one of these games where The Jags just can't win no matter what they do. Some of the Ref's decisions baffled me but I am a sick person at the moment so I may be looking at ot through my Thistle galsses

This message is for all you Blokes out there who think that nothing will ever happen to them illness wise. I like 1000's of other blokes thought that nothing would ever happen to me, well how wrong was I. The Aussie Government sent me a Bowel Test Kit a few weeks ago and I just put it in the bathroom drawer. Then one Sunday while I was using the Toot I thought to myself "may as well try the kit" so I did and that is the way I found out that I had Bowel Cancer. I had the Op done last Wed the 27th and I'm still here at the Campbelltown Hospital south of Sydney and expect to be for a few more days yet. So I strongly urge all of you men approaching 50 and in their 50's to buy a test kit from your local chemist and do the test to find out if you are ok or not. I was lucky in the fact that the doctors say they got it early but had I ignored the test then it might have been too late. Please don't ignore this warning guys as life is too precious and the body is an extraordinary piece of mechansim that needs to be looked after. I now have to watch my eating and drinking habits for a while until I'm back to normal in about 6 months time but the wait will be worth it !

Hi there Big Hebridean, As a nearing 56yr old I can honestly say that I've been through some torrid times supporting the Mighty Jags and you would know some of them mate.I'm still going through some torrid times now even though I'm 11,000miles away but when you see the Jags win away from home ( Raith )these torrid times just seem to disappear. I knew that when I put on my new Thistle jersey on Saturday that they would win even though I didn't know who the hell they were playing.Mibbees I should wear it every Saturday now until the end of the season for good luck or am I being too hasty ?

It's the 3rd grand final for the Mariners so 3rd time lucky perhaps.The game is in Brisbane and a sell out 52,000 crowd is expected.Brisbane have gone 27 games in a row without defeat so they are the favourites but the Mariners are the sentimental favourites. The most hated player in the A-League since it's inception.Should've been sent off for his first tackle in that game where he took the player out without the ball.He's an animal and I hate him intensely.Every game he whinges and moans his way through the game and complains every time he gets pulled up by the Refs. He should've got Life for that tackle considering that the young bloke he took out will now have to have a full Knee Re-construction.Remember this, he took out a Charlton player a few years ago when he played for Wolves and that players career was over. It took him a couple of years to get compensation of around $600,000.00 and with that was told that he couldn't discuss the incident ever for legal reasons.Muscat should be made to pay for all medical bills for that yound fellow and the young bloke should also take Muscat to court. Last seasons A-League Champions Sydney F.C are firmly rooted to the bottom of the ladder this season with only 4 wins out of 22 games.Just shows the standard of football over here when this can happen so quickly.Brisbane and Adelaide are the favourites at the moment to take out the title with Brisbane out in front at the top and Adelaide sitting second.Sydney also haven't scored a goal in the last 5 games either.Not a Happy New Year for their Manager and Coach who's name I can't pronounce.His jacket is hanging on a very shaky nail at the moment.Happy New Year to one and all from Thistle Do Me!

Just had a look at our league position and it looks very grim. Played 7 home games so far and only scored 5 Goals. Just not good enough.At least if we had scored more goals in losing it would've meant a more entertaing game to watch. It must be dire for you loyal and dedicated fans who go to Firhill these days and watch the current lot.Only scored 7 goals away from home from 8 games.Poor stuff especially when you look at Dunfermlines figures and to think that they were once worse than us. Sigh! When is it going to get better?

So I think to myself "I'll go to the Thistle Stirling game while I'm home visiting my poor old Sick Mum" and what happens? It Bloody Snows as well as the Referees Strike!I can't win as the last time I was home 5 yrs ago Thistle were away to QOS and I was all set to go to that game when my old mate calls me at the last minute to say that his car had broken down. Just as well really as the Jags got Humped 6-0 or 6-1 that day.Ach well I can only hope for better luck next homecoming
