The club should move on this with gnome oar delay. Divide the bing using a grid system, then either auction or sell each square. Also sell each purchaser a paint your own gnone for about 10 quid, and have a gnome planting ceremony the week before the start of the season as suggested by bowenboys. Could raise a lot of cash, and as was said in a previous post, imagine the positive publicity and advertising oportunities. There could be a "come gnome to firhill" campain similar to the "come home to glasgow" campaign of a few years ago. The club could present the best painted gnome the "gnome bell" prize

Shared the players tunnel with Mark Bosnich and Terry Veneables in 1997. I was going off after officiating in a curtain raising game, and Bosnich was lining up waiting to go on. Also sat beside George Hannah (ex Jags Physio) at an after match meal when he played in the Australian National league in 1992

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but the facts of the head butt have to be looked at on their own. There's no doubting the provocation, which should have been punished with a yellow card, and some posters on here have said how hard it would be not to react the way he did. Posssibly for a lot of people, but it has to be remembered that he is a professional, and has to accept the fact that some abuse will be directed at him, but that's still no excuse for vioent conduct. This was also an assault, and just because it happened during a football match, again, is no excuse. Had he yelled back, then both would have had a possible yellow card or a blasting from the ref. I know first hand about being provoked, and over the years have had plenty of players yelling in my face, and I took appropriate action. If a ref was to head butt a player who had provoked him, do you think as many people who are on here defending Aaron Muirhead would defend a ref. Don't get me wrong, I'm gutted Thistle lost, but the reaction was the wrong way to go about things.

Looking at the video I would say the goal is onside. The player receiving the ball was in line with the second last defending player when the ball was plyed through to him. A player is in an offside postion if he is closer to his opponent's goal line than 2 defenders AND the ball. If he is in line with the second last defender then he is onside, The law requiring defenders to be between the attacker and the goal line, i.e. offside if you're in line, changed many years ago. The goalkeeper is always included as one of the defenders for offside purposes.

The ref chooses which end the kicks are taken at. The winner of the coin toss decides if his team takes the first or second penalty
