  1. Can only agree with everything that has been said. Really nice touch getting the tile in the JHS. Means there will always be a reminder of Stewart at Firhill. Deepest condolences to yourself, his other friends and of course his family. RIP Stewart.
  2. Cant put our fans in the Colin Weir stand. No pyrotechnics allowed in there.
  3. I have noticed when he does his warm up behind goals At Lambie stand end. He always seems to be encouraging his team mates on the pitch and looks involved in the game even though he is not playing. Also why list him as sub if Caldwell thinks he is not going to play ?
  4. Yes TJR, we are getting the new manager bounce, 2months or so later than we expected. We need to keep it going. A win at Alloa is a must imo. With Falkirk not playing we would go 8th if we win.
  5. I would also like us to develop our own players. The position we find ourselves in we need to field the strongest team possible. Also the final score proves that Caldwell did the correct thing, a few younger players in the team and we could have lost. Hopefully being unbeaten this Calendar year will give us confidence to go on and pull away from the relegation zone. If we end up not really playing for anything with a few games to go, we might see some of the fringe players getting a run out then.
  6. Who do want in the quarters of the Scottish cup? A game against either Celtic or Sevco, if they get through will give us a good pay day and if it was at Firhill I think it would be live on telly. Against Hibs or Hearts it would be better if it was away more money imo. A home tie against any of the remaining teams if we are still playing well, would give us a chance of getting to the semi final.I think we will end up at Tannadice.
  7. Wasn't at the game so some will say I shouldn't comment. First and foremost and most importantly we are in the next round. Some thought this was going to be easy but remember they beat us in the challenge cup and they knocked Morton out in the last round. Unbeaten this calendar year and we have now won 4 games in a row. I hope the confidence is high and we keep it going next week against Alloa, another vital game. On another point all day today I keep getting g a message saying this site is unsafe as it no longer has a security certificate. Anybody else getting this message ?
  8. Checked our team from the challenge cup game. 5 No longer at Firhill from the team that started and 2 of the subs also no longer with Thistle. Lets hope for a different outcome, with what will be a different team.
  9. Our last trip to Florida, we went to Kennedy space center. One of the exhibits is 'moon rock', which you can touch. Of course we all touched it. We either touched moon rock, or somebody will be having a good laugh at everybody touching rock from earth.
  10. Just missed that event.
  11. I bought both pink and green papers after our league cup winning game. Kept them until 1982 when I got married. Also had the paper from the first moon landing.
  12. I remember that as well. Always a crowd round the shop window just before 5 every Saturday.
  13. How about buying the pink times or green citizen after the game to get the other scores.
  14. Not all downhill from there. A few highlights, which of course include the 71 league cup final.
  15. You were born in 66, you are indeed a youngster.
  16. As I have said a lot of us on this forum seem to be of a similar age. May I suggest in our sixties or there about's. I hope there is more younger supporters coming up to take our place, when we are no longer able to follow Thistle.
  17. Cant remember my first game, but the first game I took young Robert to, was the promotion winning game v Forfar 1992. Got a good picture of him sitting on one of the old crush barriers at the city end. The last game he attended was ICT 4-1 defeat at Firhill 30/4/16. I have got a lot of great memories and photos of sharing the ups and downs of being a Thistle fan with my boy.
  18. Cant remember what my first game was. I think a few of us on this forum have been going to Firhill for about the same time. Just going by what others have said.
  19. After supporting Thistle for over 55 years, I have learned not to count our Chickens. To often that light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train.
  20. Agree with this. First aim is to get to 8th, then see how much higher we can get. We have away and home games against Alloa and Dunfermline so still well in our own hands.
