Doolan has said in interviews he has had offers to leave Thistle but he said 'Why would he when he is happy at Firhill'.Lets hope Dools still has some more goals in him before the end of this season.

Not at the game ,just watched it for the second time on Alba and thought we worked hard in closing them down,thats how our goal came about by winning the ball in midfield.Thought Spittal put in a good shift.Wont be easy but if we put in the same amount of work and take our chances we should come thru the play of.

Is this the first season we have started and finished the competitive games against the same team in 2 different competitions?

Although both Wright and McCann have said they will not be doing anybody any favours,St Johnstone have more to play for as they can still finish higher and get more money.

This season even though it has been our worst in the league we have been competitive.Unlucly to lose in both games at firhill against Celtic,unlucky in the 3-4 game v Aberdeen and drew with The Rangers at Firhill.

Hope your right,but lets not count any chickens.2 Important games tomorrow at Dundee and Perth.Offcourse an away win at Dens and Perth doesn't matter.

Nobody can deny this season has been terrible and Archibald has to take a good bit of blame for that, but we have had 4 decent years in the Premier with him in charge and he got us promoted.1 Last chance.

When I came out of Firhill last October after watching us being outplayed, outfought and beaten by a Kilmarnock side who had sacked their manager and had the development team coach in charge I thought that Archibald would have been sacked,he wasn't.After the Kilmarnock game up to the winter break we played 13 games and picked up 17 points,if we would have kept that sort of points average going until the end of the season we would be safe by now.After the winter break despite the long awaited return of injured players our form plummeted again and we now need to win at Dundee to get into the play off.Imo if we were going to sack the manager it should have been after the Kilmarnock game but the run we went on after that it is no surprise he wasn't.We as fans don't know who would apply for the job if we sacked Archibald but I would not like to see the likes of Duffy,Lennon or Hughes in charge.I now feel that no matter what happens this season that Archibald should still be in charge of Thistle next season but if we get relegated and we are not challenging for the league that should be the end of the road for him.He has said that this season he has learned a lot,so lets hope he has and no matter what league we are in Thistle get the benefit.Of course the board might feel different if we were to be relegated or Archibald himself might walk.

We haven't played The Rangers 40 times.

We need to go for a win.Imagine its 0-0 in both games going into the last minute.If Ross county win and we don't we are down.Our supporters should be cheering on Partick Thistle as we have been doing all season.Remember some Thistle fans went to support ICT against Clyde in the hope that Ict would win the league and we would stay up because of ICT not having a suitable ground,that didn't work out well.

Although it would be good to get points against our Glasgow noisy neighbours the damaging results for us this season are losing to Dundee at Firhill and Hamilton away after being ahead in both games,losing 4-0 at Ross County and only drawing with them at Firhill again after being ahead.Tuesday nights game was also a missed chance to put pressure on Hamilton.Now it comes down to Saturday and hopefully the play off games.

Agree.Lets get 3 points at Dens and win the play off and then see what happens.

We have 1 league game left I think using a hard start as an excuse is just that an excuse.After we lost to Kilmarnock at Firhill we played 13 games up to the winter break and we got 17 points. I would suggest that proves we got over the hard start.We have had a number of chances to get up to 10th and we have not taken them.We can still stay in this league but we will need to start scoring and defending.The annoying thing for me is we didn't have to be great this season to be safe by now,imo mediocre would have seen us finish 10th.

Agree with this particularly the last sentence.Also to add our game management has been terrible losing 25 points from a winning position proves this.

Once this season is over(hopefully 3 games still to play) you will need to relax in a darkened room and forget about Thistle stats.

The importance of the Dundee and Hamilton defeats are very clear.If we had beat Dundee and drew with Hamilton we would now be on 34 points and Hamilton on 31points and to take it a bit further if we had also beat Ross County on Friday we would have 36 points and safety.

It was also before the injured players came back. 3Games unbeaten is our best run of the season we have done this twice.

After Kilmarnock beat us 2-0 at Firhill till winter break we played 13 games and got 17 points.By far our best run of the season.

Usual we had all of the possession in the first half but couldn't convert the few chances we had.Second half we did nothing and their goal was so easy,ball into the box and a header.How many chances did we have in the last 5minutes or so to put them under pressure and all we did was put terrible balls into the box that either went out or into goalies hand.

If it was a choice between Archie and Duffy only one winner.Archie all day long.

It is possible he will be at Firhill tonight for radio Scotland as I have heard him on the radio in the past.But that is the only job I would want him to be doing at Firhill.
