  1. Was planning to come up for the Dunfermline game in September, but that trip could be postponed til October. Trouble is the Brizzle flight doesn't get in til 11.40am, so mad dash to get to any pre-game drinkies. Post-game is out as I'll be in Wintergills wi ma pals.
  2. Bugger - I was hoping to save some money if I didn't like it!
  3. England don't use GSTQ at the Commonwealth Games, they did use LOH&G, but for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a poll was conducted and Jerusalem chosen as the anthem to be used for "Team England".
  4. I have to admit that I did feel sorry for their supporters when at 4-1 down Heskey was brought on. Quickly passed though.
  5. What an insight john Lambie has - he sent one of his doos to take the p!ss.
  6. Cracking moment at halftime in SKorea Greece match. Matt smith asked Edgar Davids "make me feel good about England's chances" and he laughed! Brlliant. All he could then think of was "they've got to start well".
  7. I know that it's a long time before the 10 years stipulated, but my worst all-time signing is Brendan McIntyre that Bertie signed in 85/86(?). How he lasted two seasons is a mystery. Don't remember him ever finding a Jags player with a pass.
  8. How about red and yellow squares like Croatia?
  9. Hardly likely to see that down here unfortunately. Need to check out irn bru website. We have to put up with the sun advert with venables warbling at Wembley. Excruciating!
  10. Ffs! Some bbc twat last night made a comment about something in the crap that happened yesterday (wasn't listening properly so don't know what) last happened in 1966 "so perhaps that's an omen". My nuts well done in already!
  11. Quite a clear out - so who's he got in mind for goalie(s)? After the display (realise it's only one game though) at Dingwall and the fact that Tuffey's going I thought Halliwell would have been offered a contract. Has Shepherd had any first-team experience yet? Could this be the start of us building a split part-time/full-time squad with such a clear-out? Hinchcliffe and Donnelly to remain as non-playing staff as "door isn't shut entirely on a number of those players"?
  12. You can't get into any shop down here practically without having to pass these bloody flags or displays for Engerlund guff. Would probably be the same if we'd have qualified in Scottish stores. If I get asked why we don't support them, I ask them what club team they support. If for example they are an Arsenal fan, I ask them who they support if Spurs or Chelsea are playing and the inevitable answer is whoever they're playing. They tend to look blank when I ask "So what's the difference?" I really don't have a problem with the way they get behind their team - most of them have an expectation of quarter or semis finals at best - I've not spoken to anyone that has said they'll win it. It's the sh*te talked in the media that's gets yer goat. Looking forward to being in the pub with a bunch of yanks for England's opening game defeat!
  13. Chippenham, Wiltshire, Engerlund. Have adopted Bristol Rovers as a surrogate Jags - but it's never the same, even the disappointment isn't as good.
