  1. http://www.theharrywraggs.co.uk/c/?p=3&n=252 Looks like Paton is ready to commit to the jags for another 2 seasons judging by Maxwell's comments. Seems Paddy is defo for the off though
  2. Rumoured to be from Maryhill apparently. Im sure someone said he was a jags supporter in his youth too.
  3. Pretty much how i saw it too. I think he suffers from the fact that he is behind the likes of Bannigan, Campbell and McBeth who will all probably end up at central midfielders. Having watched the unders quite a lot over the past season or two, i was always impressed with Kyle and how strong he was for such a young lad. Good luck to him in the future
  4. He can hope all he wants but i dont reckon he stands a chance of getting it.
  5. Apologies if wrong - Always thought it was Kilwinning we had singed him from.
  6. Signed as a youngster from Kilwinning Rangers.....
  7. Not sure you are correct about that tbh. The Firhill Complex is constantly booked out for 7asides and its very difficult to hire a park on anything less than a weeks notice. I reckon there would be quite a high demand for people wanting to hire out the pitch most nights. Im sure most Thistle fans who play in regular games would love to play at Firhill for a start.
  8. No, not at all. Just concerned that he hasnt signed a new deal. Add that to the fact that he has had a good season and we are potless and I think its quite conceivable that he will be for the off.
  9. Never mind Hodge - Worried that we have now seen the last of Paton in a Jags jersey
  10. Couldnt make the game today due to chest infection but the text i received at the end suggested that we had been the far better side...
  11. Noticed in one of the other threads that someone mentioned that an artificial pitch wouldn't necessarily mean the Warriors would have to leave Firhill. If that is the case, why are we not looking to get this done? Is it purely that it would cost too much? In my, albeit not particularly well informed, view, surely the benefits from upkeep and potentially renting the pitch out midweek would (medium term at least) be greater than the initial cost? Could the SRU not contribute also? I dont think The SPL allow such pitches but im honestly beginning to think that I wouldnt care. Perhaps this is something that could be changed with the expected league shake up? Good few lads I know have decided to call it a day for this season and I know the pitch is one of the big factors in their decision. I far prefer away games nowadays as the entertainment value offered up at home is very poor and the pitch must be a massive contirbutory factor to this. Thoughts?
  12. Noticed in another thread, someone hinted at a change of home strip next season. Anyone shed any light on this? I thought the current home kit would be staying in place for next season....
  13. Anyone know whats going on? Police helicopter has been hovering above our estate focussing its search light round about the canal at the top of the hill up to Maryhill road for about 40 minutes now.....
  14. I think this is an example of one of the major problems within the Jags support (and perhaps football forums in general???) To be a Jags fan it seems you either have to be overtly positive or far too negative. Armand2 was merely commenting on the game as he saw it and, to be fair, I happen to agree. (Please note, Stevo, this isnt me having a go at you, just a general musing of sorts.) From viewing the game the other night (and having wached the rserves and unders a fair bit in the last two seasons) Shaun Fraser has an awful lot going for him and im excited to see how far he can go with us. However, it was also clear that he, perhaps, hasnt learned to read the line as well as he could and this is something he can work on. Armand didnt have a go at Shaun and I know he rates him very highly as a promising youngster. Im all for supporting the players (especially the youngsters) but maybe we should give each other more of a chance too? I enjoy discussing the team with fellow supporters and part of that surely has to be involve differences of opinion? I dont see why this has to necessarily be a negative thing.
  15. Disgraceful Wouldnt have spent a penny in there had i known this.
  16. Im a member of the City Centre and must confess, I have no idea what you are talking about. Care to share? (Wasnt a member when we were last in a semi so perhaps ive just missed all this?)
  17. Best wishes to the Mountie!
  18. Anyone have a link to decent highlights of the promotion up at Peterhead? Cheers
  19. Was just about to post the exact same thing. Absolutely brilliant stuff. If ever a reminder was needed why we are Jags fans. Credit and thanks to whoever made this. Forever and Ever
  20. Agreed. Id add that i thought Hodge would just scrape pass marks as well. Thought he was the only one to try and put his foot on the ball and try and at least find a pass. Total inept performance overall and worryingly like the start of the season. Id drop Cairney for the rest of the season and tell him his only chance to play for us again is to get properly fit. Perhaps a change of lifestyle is in order?
  21. Pretty much sums it up Armand. I think 2 players deserve a special mention. Martin Grehan put in another good performance following on from midweek and Bryan Hodge is a totally different player from 6 months ago. Hodge was dictating play at times and snapping into challenges. Thought Doolan and Grehan looked like a very good partnership in the making.
  22. Anything mentioned regarding our terrible start? Does McCall have any idea why we were so poor and what has caused the drastic improvement (long may it continue!!!)
