  1. Firstly that was definitely a penalty. O’Connors arms were all over him. The only way that is not given is if you are in a green/white or blue shirt. Brownlie as much to blame as Banzo for the goal. As soon as he set off you could see the space open up and knew he had to win it or we were in trouble. Graham did look good I the first half when he had support. When they dropped deeper second half he looked isolated. He will score more. Overall that was pretty typical of so many recent games. We looked good at times without ever threatening to score (did Doohan have to make a save ?) We were always just one moment away from conceding and you knew it would come. Need some big games next month Edit to add that bbc stats say we had 8 shots with just 1 on target. Sounds like an old story
  2. 4-5-1 ? Looks a bit defensive unless the midfield are going to get forward to support Graham. Wonder which of O’Ware and Brownley will play on the left
  3. Any players would have to have been registered by midday today to be eligible to play tomorrow, so not exactly a big deal. Other than saying he wants player X, I'm not sure that the manager has much to do with the legal shenanigans behind transfers.
  4. It probably needs players to move on to release the money to bring someone in. I expect that the ground work on who he wants/is available has been done, but other factors mean that he can't
  5. Now there's a program I would watch .... Matt Baker taking a chainsaw to Alex Jones !
  6. I don't think I'm guilty. Normally I'm cheerleader for the happy clappers (although I've never hidden that I don't like McCall). I think if Archie learns from the mistakes he made then he could well be our next manager and I'd have no issue with that. I'd be over the moon if we won tonight. This season my knickers are so wet I need incontinence pads.
  7. I would say more than decent in his time. I doubt that I'll ever see another striker score as many in the red n yellow (although I'd be delighted if I did). However that was in the past. One of the reasons that he had a better goals per minute ratio to Miller is because his legs were shot after an hour and forced us into a substitution (worse when playing with Squiddy which forced 2 after an hour). I think (my opinion and others may differ) this in turn cost us the chance to make tactical changes later in games.
  8. I'm not getting why people are thinking that this has been a great transfer window Graham for Miller and McKinnon for Harkins appear to be like for like and I'd be surprised if Graham scores as many as Miller did. Likewise Bajonas for Palmer doesn't look to be a huge game changer. Brownlie for McGinty doesn't look to be that different. QotS fans were not exactly weeping on the steps of Palmerston at the thought of him leaving. And Lyon we wont see in action until next season which is hardly going to get us out of the current predicament. That leaves Rudden and O'Connor for Slater and Wilson. Hard to make like for like comparison and I will admit that an attacker and defender for 2 midfielders does help the balance of the squad and addresspositions where we were lacking. However Rudden hardly set the heather alight down in Plymouth and O'Connor is largely unproven. Maybe the new guys have a much better mental attitude and we'll find out over the next few games if that is the case, but I don't get why this is being touted as such a great transfer window. It will certainly have had a negative impact on the clubs finances which were rumoured to be in something of a mess. Is it just that the new players were signed by golden bollocks McCall ?
  9. I guess you're entitled to your opinion, even if you are both wrong I wouldn't have taken Graham for exactly your reasons, but we had to do something and I don't know who was available. Wighton would have been a great signing as he knows where the back of the net is at Firhill.
  10. Take off your rose tinted glasses. Dolan was not good enough for us last year and is not good enough for Ayr this year. His playing days at our level are over. I don’t know about his coaching ability, so I leave others to comment on that, but as a player, even a backup, no thanks. As for Morton, he would be wasted with their style of play
  11. I'm not convinced that it was just the players. For 2.5 years now we have had a succession of players who have not delivered at the level they did for other clubs, or even for Thistle in the past. I think that there is something more to this, perhaps the turmoil in the board room with now 3 changes and a 4th to come. I just hope that this current crop don't suffer the same fate.
  12. What we don't know is whether the replacements are any better. Jury is out after Saturday's debacle
  13. Atleast I have one team in every tie ! Livingston, Celtic, BSC Glasgow, Motherwell, Ayr, Aberdeen, Rangers and Hearts 21 goals will be scored
  14. I am far from convinced, but then I never wanted McCall in the first place.
  15. In standing half way there already, it saves him some energy in walking to pick the ball out the net
  16. Not if McCall wants to play 3 central defenders again (god help us)
  17. I didn’t single them out. New and old they were all garbage and appear to be no better than what we had.
  18. Any chance of positivity ripping up it’s contract with us ?
  19. I wasn't joking when I posted this. Every ****ing time !
  20. QotS now level. There is hope we might not be bottom tonight
  21. Yeh brilliant to get in a bunch more wage thieves
  22. They can happily sit back and hit us on the counter.
  23. Unless Penrice and O’Connor can get forward that is 6 in defensive positions. Hope Graham and Rudden get the support they need. Didn’t take long for someone to claim the 9 shirt
