  1. fk me WJ - are you actually sig-sig-00 in disguise?!!
  2. and I'll be in that pub with ma dug - and he'll have yer baws down his neck before you get the lagers in!
  3. The world according to WJ is a sad place indeed. See you at the next election - if you even think of walking up to my door with your Tory leaflets I'll have my dug trained to rip your deluded baws aff!
  4. Nope - I hope the 25 point punishment stands as they have flagrantly tried to cheat the system (again). I also hope they have the option to increase it to 30 or 35 points to kick their ridiculous appeal into touch. If we go t*ts up then so be it - questions will have to be asked regarding how a reduced playing budget, full-time players, falling attendances and the Warriors paying rent and staffing costs will have led us to the point - but I'd expect us to be treated more leniently than scumdee. It will be interesting to see how many scottish clubs survive the next 5 years.
  5. Labour shadow cabinet minister on TV this morning (andy burnham?) saying that labour's alternative plans for a graduate tax would have graduates paying back more - in truth all the main parties are absolute phannies and the ridiculous cutbacks on the universities funding are to blame - education tuition should be free for all and the scot nats appreciate that although I think funding wise they'll have to cave in on that one soon as well. Another factor has not been considered - say you're doing a 3 year honours down south followed by a masters - then followed by a year at teacher training ... assuming 5 years at the max fees you'll also have 5 years student loans to taqke out to subsidise your living costs so you'll be lucky to be getting out your "lifelong learning" experience short of £70k after adding in yearly inflation on those figures ... now take into account the justification of charging graduates is that they'll earn about £100k over a lfetime more than "Mr Average UK person" and it hardly seems worthwhile given that in the 5 years you're studying Joe-Average is out working and earning the £70k you're racking up in debt at uni ... while in your lifetime (still paying back your uni fees when your own kids are off to uni themselves anyone?) you'll pay back significantly more than the £70k if you have a well paid job of just £21k. It's a fkin farce.
  6. each sachet makes 4 quality lines (er, so I'm told!)
  7. lemsips are particularly effective when taken nasally thought a rolled up tenner!
  8. have some of and then do this
  9. poppycock - all the up-front money for the fees from 2012 is from the taxpayer ... and any money paid back in return (when they all miraculously find jobs paying >£21k) will allegedly go to the further education institutions ... there are too many students doing worthless crap these days with a certificate in a tube at the end of it.
  10. Interesting to see clegg (i.e. that annoying bluebottle-type blood sucking insect) on the telly yesterday telling us categorically that every fib-dum emm-pee will vote for the bill. Am hoping a few - like chazza kennedy and big mingers - will vote against to shoot the little cocky tw*t down.
  11. The s-form went down the pan that day - he was probably right as I hated training with a passion (no specialist keeper trainers back then) and enjoyed messing around more than anything - played for college, university, a number of the crappier juniors and a variety of amateur teams for the following 24 years after being shown the door - retired in the summer as I couldn't face another feckin pre-season ... had intended to chuck it 3 years ago but answered a call from Third Lanark and then had final 2 years at Robslee. Bertie was however much more polite than another old boy who grabbed me by the collar after one game in the early 90's and told me "f**k off and don't come back" for showing up without the club tie on! The best thing is I don't miss it a bit. I'd still rip off your hand for a chance to stand betweeen the sticks for the Jags though!
  12. Aye good stuff - the swedish lad hillenius was pick of the bunch for me ... chest control of long ball, right footed flick over the defender and a left foot volley (reminiscent of van bastens peach) into the top corner - and all in front of a standing terrace behind the goal.
  13. must be worth a look at that one - more chewing gum on the pavement and extra pound shops - pure class!!
  14. print version i've got earlier today has "ex-hull boss phil's vow to revive dons" - maybe website flunkeys are having a laaaaarrrrf!
  15. took me 3 hrs to get from kelvinbridge to casa luca this afternoon ... roads were like a skating rink ... at least i managed to get home though unlike some others ... minus 8oC tonite and appparently the glesga cooncil want to open all schools tomorrow - absolute plamphs should be calling it off tonite instead of putting 60,000 kids and tens of thousands of cars on the network tomorrow ... oh and btw I've got a gritting depot near the hoose and there's no been any sign all night of any gritters getting their salt mountains on the road.

  17. Welcome to Firhill ... across from the JH Stand we have the closed main stand while to your left you can feast your eyes on the latest addition to the stable - a bin shelter with seats ffs. 200, 288, 300 - it's all academic really - seats 1 or 2 deep will be a fkin joke - they should really just lay some new concrete and have a standing area
  18. Whooooosh - a 200 seater stand - sounds like it'll be an architectural gem! Will it look something like this?
