  1. If you have to miss one game between now and Christmas, through being dragged shopping, would you prefer 1. A "shootie in" against a Highland league club at home. 2. A league fixture when we're pushing for the title and promotion 3. An attractive Scottish Cup tie on December 3rd. Which would you pick?
  2. I think it will be below 2,000 because if people are going to have to miss a game before Christmas, for shopping or what-not, then this logically makes the most sense to be the one to miss.
  3. The stadium is also smaller than Livingston. Why would you want less people to attend the final? Livingston has the same number of train stations as Falkirk - Two.
  4. The sponsors and SFL want to show off their cup final in the best possible way. While Ayr may be the fans choice, it wasn't viable for two reasons. 1. Ayr United are at home on the 7th April. Playing two games in 24 hours doesn't produce the best pitch possible. We don't want a final played on a sub-standard pitch do we? 2. Public Transport links. While there is a direct train from teams towns to Ayr, there are also engineering works on both lines, with great regularity on Sundays. This would disrupt both fans travel to, and from the game. The SFL are trying to keep monies generated in this competition in the SFL. They should be commended for this. Why make the "rich" of the SPL richer? Yes, it has been held in Perth recently when one of the finalists was from the Highlands. The final was also, scheduled, for winter so it made logical sense to have the game half way due to poor weather conditions. 1. Falkirk and Dunfermline are further for QOTS fans to travel. 2. The capacity of The Falkirk Stadium is smaller than Livingston. People are already claiming that Livingstons 10,000 seats isn't "big enough". Why take 1,000 off that to play it at Falkirk? 3. Falkirk and Dunfermline are both playing at home on the 6th April. We go back to the two games in 24 hours argument. I'm not saying Livingston is the best ever venue for a cup final, it's not, but it's the best of a poor bunch.
  5. The only other realistic choice was Airdrie. Everyone seems to be moaning about Livingston, without providing a realistic alternative.
  6. So you'd rather play it in Airdrie with a plastic pitch, and a similar lack of pre-match pubs? It's not ideal, but given they are going to play it at an SFL ground, it's the best of a bad bunch.
  7. Seems to me Puma changed the slot, rather than someone at PTFC to blame...
  8. Who cares where it's played as long as we win!!
  9. The final hasn't had an attendance over 10,000 since 1993/94. Livingston's capacity will be fine. Better to have a full ground and a cracking atmosphere than 1/2 empty one and flat(that you'd probably get at Rugby Park)
  10. Not official confirmed, since there is no press release, but as official as you can get. My personal preference was for Rugby Park.
  11. Fox, Paton and Erskine are also 25.
  12. Except if you do that, all hell breaks loose because the Season Ticket holders feel "cheated".
  13. To my knowledge, the only game we have less than 50% possession was the opening day game against Falkirk.
  14. 1. Capacity is 10,000. Big enough for the final. 2. It's an SFL ground, they don't like playing it in SPL grounds. 3. It has a proper grass pitch, not an artificial one. 4. Livingston are not playing at home that weekend meaning the pitch won't have two games on it in two days.
  15. It's Livingston. Just sorting out allocations and that i'd imagine.
  16. I'm glad we're in a position where we are arguing over who to leave out because they are all good players. Makes a refreshing change.
  17. Sorry i meant to start Craig and bench Doolan. Apologies. Reason being Craig will bully and harass Dods more than Doolan could. It's good to have these problems though i guess.
  18. Fox O'Donnell Muirhead Balatoni Bannigan Paton Murray Lawless Welsh Erskine Craig Subs: Scully Archibald Forbes Doolan Elliot Stand: Sinclair Slane
  19. Same as in Scotland. Home team keeps gate receipts. Which is the way it should remain.
  20. And if you turn up wearing normal clothes you'll get in. You'll get to see the game, which is the point isn't it?
  21. If people find the pricing steep this year, how will they cope when we are in the SPL next year? Prices there regularly push the £25 for adults.
