  1. There - fixed that for you. I'm already looking forward to the excuses trotted out by the media for not reporting this to the best of their ability. The role of the sports press will be under the microscope in the not too distant future. They know the scoop - they're just not sharing it
  2. It was all sounding so good until I read the words "Daily Record" and "James Traynor". I suspect they're well aware of the goings-on (and likely ramifications) but are strangely quiet on the key details, preferring to concentrate on rubbish like that.
  3. Judging from the link below (which I think has been added in a previous post), what we're seeing / hearing / reading about is only the tip of the iceberg. If the info in this site is accurate, then the press have been blindly accepting of what they've been told by the R*ng*rs PR machine. No surprises there, eh ? I thought the BBC had been at the brave pills, but maybe someone has decided there's more to journalism than just trotting out press handouts as fact. Looks like there's a lot more to come out here .... RangersTaxCase.com
  4. Mine was a 2-2 draw with Clyde at Firhill just a few weeks before the 1971 League Cup final. When the Clyde keeper came out at the start of the game he was wearing white socks and black shorts (same as the outfield players - remember those days ?!?!) and a red top. Two ball-boys came out just behind him and I remember asking my dad if they were his sons - just because they were wearing exactly the same kit. In my defence, I was barely 6 at the time. My chances of going to the final were ruined just a couple of weeks later when I got an apparently serious dose of the measles and missed it. Typical - one major cup final in my lifetime and I'm ill.
  5. Can someone enlighten me as to how the SPL can vote through 2 leagues of 10 when half the proposed teams aren't even in the SPL ? Or is the vote on the 17th for both the SPL and the SFL ? I can't believe I was naive enough to hope that this review could actually improve things !!! I used to have a season ticket but got terminally bored by watching us play Falkirk, Dundee, etc at least 4 times each season (used to go to most away games too). I think there are loads of people who, like me, would be back like a shot if the league was expanded. Instead, I'll continue to do something else on Saturdays. If the handful of games I've seen this season are anything to go by, I'm not missing much. Still gutted though ...
