  1. Agreed! This could be a massive turning point in the season as I honestly think we would have lost that game. The conditions have done us a huge favour. Bet the Greenockites are furious
  2. I don't normally pay much attention the the amount of views my videos get but I have I have to say I have been quite amazed at the number of view this clip has received. Currently over 6000! I think the most views one of the goals I have captured prior to this is just over the 2000 mark so yes this is without doubt the most watched of any of the goals I have posted
  3. The solid white line was down to the sun which made filming almost impossible for the entire second half. By a stroke of luck the sun had just gone behind the floodlight pylon when we won the free kick which led to the goal, any other time and recording the action would have been a waste of time! Scott Cant also caught the goal on camera but his position wasn't so lucky and the sun virtually bleached out the action, you can see for yourself here :

  5. Another three points in the bag but to be honest that was without question the poorest performance I have witnessed from Thistle this season. A really disjointed display with only brief flashes of the passing game that we have all become so used to. It has to be said that the Jags did dominate throughout but never really looked like doing Airdrie much damage. The visitors approach was just as physical as Hamilton on Tuesday night and they were lucky that their centre half didn’t see red. The highlight of the game was a quite sublime strike from Chris Erskine which won the points for the Jags. Erskine won man of the match but Muirhead and Balatoni were also excellent however too many of the others were way off form with Bannigan and Sinclair being the worst offenders. Performance levels are going to have to improve big time if we are hoping to pick up away wins at Cowdenbeath & Dunfermline!!

  7. Coyle's not currently with a club is he? We could certainly do worse. His managerial record in Scotland was reasonably good!
  8. Jaggy hellish few. Most of the goals I have captured are filmed from the JHS which does not make for good crowd shots. If I am fortunate enough to catch another goal from the North stand then I will try and remember to record the JHS celebrations. There is a bit of crowd footage on this compilation I did. Second goal, Paul Cairney v celtic

  10. Back to winning ways! Great result although the score was maybe a bit harsh on Falkirk……….but that’s their problem. Quick out the blocks today with a headed goal in about three minutes from Conrad Balatoni. Falkirk equalised very much against the run of play and yet again down to a refereeing error. Chris Erskine appeared to be fouled near the half way line, the ref failed to penalise the bairns player and 20 seconds later it was all square. Chris however had the last laugh as he headed the Jags back in front a minute later. Thistle started the second half rather sluggishly and had a major let off when the Falkirk centre forward missed a sitter from close range. Thistle wrapped up the points with two goals in two minutes, Conrad Balatoni drilling home his second of the afternoon put the Jags 3-1 up and then a quite sublime strike from Chris Erskine as he chipped the Falkirk keeper from 20 yards. Conrad was awarded man of the match and I would have to agree with that. Other stand outs for the Jags were Paul Paton and Sean Welsh however Hugh Murray was awful. Referee was the same as all the others we get at Firhill……………….abysmal!
  11. Looks like a right nasty attack of vertigo for the ton
  12. Agreed! We should have had them buried by half time. However that has to be one of the worst, and dare I say it, most biased, refereeing displays I have witnessed in many a year. It was almost as if he was on a mission to win the game for Morton. The goal he chopped of for Thistle in the first half - Wrong!, the free kick and booking he gave Morton that led to their equaliser - Wrong! the sending off - Wrong! Just an appalling display of double standards an ineptitude. What a horrible way to lose our 100% home league record
  13. This was a hard fought win! Not the usual flowing football we have come to expect at Firhill but when push came to shove the boys still managed to grind out a win. Aaron Sinclair headed home the first and a sublime chip from about 20 yards from Stuart Bannigan sealed the points. Excellent displays from Aaron Muirhead and Conrad Balatoni. Graeme Smith did everything asked of him and looked solid. The ref gave us nothing all afternoon. Looked like Erskine should have had a penalty (admittedly viewed from the other end of the park) but ref just waved play on. All in all a good three points but we will have to play a lot better if we hope to beat Dunfermline in the cup next week!
  14. Actually no! Only have the camera on occasionally. Usually for set pieces, corner kicks, penalties For some reason I decided to record from an attacking throw in yesterday and got lucky with Forbes goal!

  17. Magnificent! Absolutely bloody magnificent. I was fully expecting the usual Thistle routine of “big occasion, big crowd, big disappointment” but not today!! Fantastic display brilliant goals, Ross Forbes strike was outstanding. Thistle fans singing “ We’re Partick Thistle, we’re taking the piss”. Fantastic atmosphere and a crowd of over 5200. But every silver lining has a cloud and Scott Fox’s injury is probably that cloud. Looked like a hamstring so he could be out for a few weeks. Anyway, back to the top of the league having totally pumped our closest rivals! Happy days

  20. Just want to point out to everyone who claimed the reason for our fantastic result today was down to Airdrie being poor that prior to today's mauling Airdrie had lost a maximum of four goals in any of their games. We scored seven, that suggests to me that the result was more down to us bring brilliant than Airdrie being poor. We don't score 7 very often, enjoy it !!!!
  21. Apparently it was Ross Forbes that scored no.7. I'm sure the announcer said it Sean Welsh? Maybe I'm going deaf as well as blind :-)

  23. Absolute master-class from Thistle today! Sublime passing, ruthless in front of goal and magnificent individual displays especially from Chris Erskine, Paul Paton and Aaron Muirhead. Having said that there was not a single failure in a Jags jersey today. I have to say that despite the fact that I was ecstatic at scoring seven past Airdrie I did feel sorry for poor Kenny Arthur. He didn't do a hell of a lot wrong until that blunder for the 7th and he did make a wonder save whilst it was 2-0. He is a Thistle legend regardless of the fact that he has now gone over to the dark side. I think that is the fist time we have scored 7 in a game since Murder McLeod first game in charge away to Berwick Rangers. Can anyone confirm? PS that was 19th August 1995
