It might have been another poor performance but on a night where 3 first division sides have lost to lower league opposition then it just goes to show you that you can take nothing for granted. We're still in the cup Dundee Stirling and Cowdenbeath are not Oh and we have still never lost to Berwick

Well that blows that suggestion out the window. Maybe Ashfield would be the next logical place to look if they ever decided to pursue this as a way forward ?

In principal the suggestion isn't that daft but the amount of obstacles that would arise if we attempted this would probably kill it dead in the water e.g. access to Lochburn park, parking, do Maryhill actually own their ground, is there sufficient land available to build a 6 - 8 thousand stadium, would the selling of Firhill generate enough money to pay off our debt and build anew and of course the biggie - would the council actually grant us planning permission this time? All in all nice idea but I can't see any chance of it coming to pass.

My main concern is that the previous week Stenny scored three against this lot we only managed one! I think goals are gong to be a big problem for us this term. We have now struggled to overcome two third division teams in consecutive weeks and to prove it's no fluke we lost to a second division team pre-season, and whilst you can maybe say that pre season matches mean nothing the same can not be said for the Clyde & Annan games Yes we won them but in a totally unconvincing fashion. For me the acid test is next Saturday, fail there and I feel we will have a long hard and painful season ahead

I have not been as pessimistic about a coming season since the mid eighties. The writing has been on the wall for some time now, finishing second a couple of years ago only served to cover up just how badly the club was being run. I feel financial mismanagement is going to come home to roost this season with dire consequences on the park. A play off spot beckons
