  1. After eating in there the night before the Roses gig, for what was the most expensive and worst fish and chips i have ever had, no thanks
  2. Any clout or influence the UK has, Scotland will have at best 10% of that, we have no credit history, no armed forces, no currency established, membership approved for nothing, we will be at the doors asking to get in, and accepting any criteria / conditions that are flung our way (% of oil revenue, greater control from Brussels, schengan, etc etc), NATO, EU, and UK will not need Scotland after independance but Scotland will need them, so they will set the conditions and we will need to fall in line
  3. Oh we'll definetly get an invite to NATO, the EU etc http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/scottish-independence-nato-entry-not-automatic-1-2986882 Well there is the NATO one gone, next will come the EU, then Sterling, then the Monarchy, then border control etc etc etc The whole "YES" campaign has been drawn up on assumptions and guess work, "Salmond believes this will happen" & "But we're Scotland" appears to be the logic behind it, we are a small nation and a very small fish in Europe, we have NO clout even against alot of the newer ex communist blocks, we are effictively a Morton Fc withdrawing from the Scottish league and believing we will get a place in the EPL and be on the board of the G20 clubs because of our great spirit and history.
  4. Absolutely spot on, Norway has a high level of tax and alot of money due to the oil fund, the "NEI til EU" campign which is still very active had highlighted how much of this oil revenue would go, how much lower the tax rate would be, and in effect turn Norway from a super rich to a also ran, whilst probably plunging the country into meltdown. The greatest thing Norway has done since inventing the paper clip was to say NO to the EU, my fear is Salmond is so adament that the EU is the way forward whilst various countries (Spain, Greece etc) and even the UK are starting to re-evaluate how benificial the membership is. One tax rate, currency etc only works if the product and services cost approximatly the same in all the states and the wages are the same............. Communism, which failed like the EU will
  5. But they were the party the majority of the UK voted for, that's democracy. So IF Scotland gets independence and Glasgow votes Labour but the North East, The Highlands & Islands & Edinburgh vote SNP and they win, will be complaining that Glasgow never voted them in and we should go alone??
  6. Being only 10% of the total population you would expect that to be the case
  7. Scotland would need, but say Westminster don't want to allow, like a kid moving out and coming back home asking to have his washing done "You broke away son, big enough to stand on your own so go stand on your own"
  8. This is the SNP's view on it, but the glaring mistake is it keeps quoting as part of the UK, we won't be so all what they quote is null and void
  9. Used to go and watch them but the quality is worse than the 1st division, there has been a price freeze for a few years tickets are from £25 to £35 and attendances are low due to every game being on the telly, and they have live games Friday, Saturday, Sunday (2 Kick off times), Monday to suit telly, the papers done a story the last season on Vikings attendance questioning the fact they stated it was X thousand and it seemed so much less, so the papers paid to count folk at the next game, official attendance around the 12000 mark, actual attendance 3400. A lot of the oil companys pay for tickets or are given them through sponsorship but can't get rid of them, plus if its a Monday night game on the telly on a cold wet night a lot of the ST holders never turn up
  10. Brilliant, proper questions not vote "YES" or your a traitor nonsense I doth my hat to you sir, this is one of countless questions that needs to be answered BEFORE people are allowed to vote
  11. Spot on, a lot of this "propaganda" can be debunked depending on your view point, for one the figures on Norways economy posted are miles off, a simple google search will show you that. Proper facts and figures are what is needed for all camps
  12. I'd take him back still believe he'd do a turn for us
  13. And my old Granny used to have to knit me a full strip for my Xmas thinking I wouldn't notice, and me having to be polite and pretend I never noticed. They were nice and warm in the winter season but if it rained and it got wet was like running about with a baby elephant on my back
  14. The tories or any government will need to cut back we have a defecit left from Browns tenarship of being chancellor then PM, no one even uncle Alex could magic money from nowhere At least the Tories have stated the public will get a chance to decide on EU membership' that's more than the YES campaign have promised, more a lets wait and see
  15. No unless I will be eating dinner at his house the day after the vote is counted, but I would like to know what Scotland will do in regards defence, tax, passports, currency, borders, europe, electricity, transport, trade, policing etc etc. That will allow me to make my mind up, currently I know what I have in the "NO" camp (What we have now) compared to the vote now we'll decide later "YES" camp
  16. The problem is not that it will be phased out the problem is we are talking about deciding all these things AFTER an independence vote goes through. Thats like JFK stating "We choose to go to the moon, but we'll work out how to land and get back if we get there"
  17. That's like stating I'll divorce the wife, but till I come up with a way of standing on my own two feet, she can still cook my dinner, and do my laundry, but I won't help with any of the bills or the decorating etc of the house. Australia and Canada were never part of the united kingdom but are part of the commonwealth, we werent talking about having a figurehead but keeping the monarchy, completely different
  18. How????? We break free but decide tto keep the Queen, the pound, the British Army, maybe the passport, pile of nonsense. If we decide to break it should be a clean break after all the YES campaign believes we can cope as an Independant country, so by the term Independant we should not be relying on the UK for anything
  19. Attract????? They are press ganged, its compulsary national service, it has 20,000 including conscipts for the army, with a reserve force of a further 60,000 (Who couldn't keep weans out a close going by the ones I know), they are also active in Afghanistan and North of Norway defending the border with Russia
  20. Exactly look what Celtic season ticket holder Craig Whyte done with £1, can you imagine what wonders he could have created with £20k
  21. The mighty quinn watching emerdale and Alex (our hero) from clockwork orange
