  1. Novo is in the upper stratosphere of hatred, I can't think of anyone we have signed from way way way up there.
  2. North Stand are going in the Main Stand. Check your 'junk' email, my email went straight in there, very apt.
  3. I always remember growing up fans of both cheeks being outted by Jags to stewards/polis and being punted out the ground, same rules should still apply.
  4. I've never read it but remember it being sold back in the day, the name is brilliant in itself.
  5. I'd boo him every time he touched the ball for us.
  6. Actually it was Mr Beattie Listen To The Fans. Mind your manners and all that
  7. Are there any clubs in the league who don't bump a few quid on the PATG price when Celtic come to their ground? Why should their fans be allowed to pay a mere £20 for an unrestricted view at a pleasent ground in salubrious Maryhill while we pay £25 for a restricted view at their dump in the East End Ghetto?
  8. I'm totally against the move from the North Stand, I put up countless posts over the summer about it. But bumping the game up to £25 is totally justified and the right thing to do. They will charge us £25 at Celtic Park, we are watching the same two teams, why do we pay an extra £5 to watch it at their ground, especially when large areas of the away end are restricted view. The voucher for home fans should've been valid for £5 off any future home fixture this seaon and people who pay at the gate most weeks but can't make the St J can rightly feel slightly peeved at this. But it is always the case that Thsitle fans come out the woodwork for games against these 2, this simply encourages them to re-emerge from the woodwork at the St Johnstone game. Plus its hardly a unique situation, most teams have different categories of games. Do any teams in this league charge fans the same for the Celtic game as they do for a Ross County game?
  9. To be fair they've done a good job by bumping it to £25 and giving home fans a 5er off the next home game. ETA - I take it the same unofficial 'allocated seats mean naff all' policy is being adopted for the Celtic game in the Main Stand?
  10. Speaking of stats, are SPl posession stats available anywhere? Would be interesting to see how much posession we had in our home games (Aberdeen excepted as that game is the only home game where the result was legit, in fact it should've been more).
  11. I'm sure I've read other teams fans on P&B (I think St Johnstone in particular) saying that they had the same problem as us in their first season, 'dominating games' but unable to score. I certainly wouldn't be changing the way we play, I'm not entirely sure what this change would be, stop the full backs going forward, stick a big guy up front with Doolan and hit balls to them? Sod that. Is it not just a case of establishing ourselves in the SPL and being able to get in a better striker next season or the season after? In the meantime what I have noticed is that Erskine was up to all sorts last season, he was forever picking up the ball in the middle of the park and running forward then sliding balls through to Doolan (and Craig). This season Lawless and Higginbotham don't do that, they stay wider meaning that Doolan cuts a lonely figure up against the 2 centre halves. He is involved in less close play passing on the edge of the box, and with nobody around him to distract defenders they are largely able to snuff everything out. Osbourne is doing the Paton role much better than Paton ever did, but for some reason whoever is playinhg beside him often stays back so that's another body missing from attacks. Fair enough you can't do that every game but last night at home to a team who offered no threat we don't need 2 guys staying back do we?
  12. It is the exact opposite of important. If anyone (and I really think it's only you) wants to get them thay can look in the paper or online without your serving of word salad on top.
  13. I only know of 2 donations they've made. Thistle Youth Academy and Yes Scotland campaign. Respect innit
  14. Who has the longest throw in the North Stand?
  15. Yes, absolutely nothing to fear from the team second in the league hundred of miles away
  16. The first name on the coaches list on the website, is that THE Sandy Hodge? As in one of the worst ever players to wear a Thistle strip Sandy Hodge?
  17. It took me until the end of September but I've now accepted we aren't going to win the league this season
  18. Is this them giving us £750k for facilities and we then run them? And what does £750k buy? Anyone know how much we spend on the youth teams each year at the moment?
  19. We really need to win a home game and having just looked at the table this is the one, keeps the breathing space between us and the rest and we can relax over the international break. And more importantly there's a fair chance we will be getting 0 points from Inverness away and Celtic at home.
  20. Where is Shaun Fraser? He looked like he could actually make it for a good few months (I think everyone knew Burns and Ardelaney had no chance after a couple of games). Did he not go on loan somewhere and just never return?
  21. The latter, I'm sure I read in the paper earlies this season that their sell out against Celtic was their first full house in absolutely ages. In England on a Monday night if say Everton or Newcastle are playing Southampton or Norwich the away end is still always full. It must be the supporters bus culture down there but it's still come effort. I'm pretty much writing off any away TV games further than Edinburgh.
  22. Christ it wasn't long ago Ardelaney and Burns were going to be the next big things for us, well maybe not Burns, he was tiny.
  23. A woman talking about football and trying to be funny but doing both very poorly. What a surprise.
