  1. To be fair to IM, I think his role is more involved with the 'rest' of football in Scotland - professional clubs have the SPFL to 'govern' them, SFA more about football in general (and the national teams) - so far, it's not really their dispute.
  2. Seems it'll be a while yet... Could run on until Friday it seems.
  3. Is this on the wireless / internet? Read somewhere we could listen in, but can't seem to find any links.
  4. Tell them to do what they think is right. Leave it up to clubs. Saying they’re interpreting things in a way that suits them.
  5. Pretty much, yeah. Clubs can make up their own mind - don’t need coerced by the SPFL, which is how I read this. In any case, I don’t think there would be any legal issue with them simply emailing clubs a copy. Seems to me to be a tactic to add some weight to their position.
  6. The letter should not have been written. Scary thing is this is what the SPFL have put in writing, what are they doing on the phone?!? Stick it to em Jags.
  7. Absolutely not trying to ‘police’ anything, just feel that so much negativity could probably wait until after the event. Anyway, crack on undermining our club’s stance. Not like we got totally screwed or anything...
  8. I’m all for sensible speculation, however, if it’s gonna be negative can it wait until after the case? Who knows who reads what & so on... In my opinion, this forum is for Thistle supporters, in every sense, so whilst I’m sure you’re a great Jags fan, can we leave the negativity until after the event? Positive thinking & all that? Just a thought.
  9. When's the next stage in all of this? Is the 7 days response time up today? Should we expect to hear something?
  10. Let’s wait & see how we get on. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Couldn’t care less what Dundee United think. Let’s just wait & see - but I do have to admit I’m enjoying the fact we didn’t just roll over for once. Which is exactly what was expected of us by everyone else. Bravo to Thistle.
  11. That turned out to be P$sh though didn't it?
  12. Government saying professional sport can start again... What was the rush to shut down the season again? Spain are playing. England are playing. Are we THAT against summer football here?!?! Whole thing reeks of a parish council & not a professional body. ETA> Reminds me of the time my two dogs had a wee argument & one got his teeth stuck in the other's collar. He was choking as couldn't get his teeth out of it. Mother in law yelled 'break his jaw!!!!'... I unfastened the collar.
  13. Understand reservations, but frankly couldn't give a toss what other clubs think of us after this. THEY put us in this position, so why shouldn't we stand up for ourselves? Not costing us anything - and if it helps bring about meaningful change, even if we don't 'win', then I fail to see any reason why we shouldn't go to Court. Personally I'm delighted we're doing this & really hope we get a result - remember, with 'relegation' we may not play at all next season. Could we survive that? What about staff, players, suppliers, contractors etc who rely on football being played to put food on the table? Taking this as far as we can is the ONLY option in my view.
  14. Consensus of other clubs fans in P&B seems to be we’re jeopardising their future & may end up delaying start to season. So good.
  15. Starting to get grief from Celtic fans on my FB... lovely stuff.
  16. Hohoho!!! https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/board-update-16th-june-2020/?fbclid=IwAR02ZcjDTrmlOMY0JHqRsgFD2V3jvBP-ZHO9F07S0kv0cVzOZANNySeoODQ
  17. I see that as two very different things. Bottom line is the season wasn't finished. Not saying we were coming into fine form, but without finishing the season, we'll never know. Can't blame the board for this, although I agree we've been honking.
