  1. You want evidence that if the football Club does not survive, several individuals would stand to gain financially? The Property Company GUARANTEES a return on investment for all individual shareholders thereof (except the Club). If the Club goes into insolvency procedures, the other investors also legally have an option to buy the Club's share instead of it going straight onto the open market. David Beattie (director), Billy Allan (director) and Tom Hughes (ex-director and current Club Secretary and Accounts Boff) are 3 of aforementioned investors.
  2. According to Jim Spence (yes, I know) the Thistle crowd is about 700-800. What were St Johnstone expecting, exactly? In recent years our turnout in the league on Saturdays has even dipped below 400 mark on occasion up there.
  3. I seriously doubt Doolan has discipline issues. Cracking singing from the Thistle support.
  4. Really hope Grehan can do us a shift tonight. Could be really difficult without a recognised striker...
  5. Probably a more considered and ethically viable plan than PropCo...
  6. No, that's not what has to happen. At every AGM the board of directors has to be re-elected individually by shareholder vote. In previous years the Club has haphazardly done this en-masse (as Allan Heron alluded to earlier, this can be done, but it requires motion without dissent to that effect). This year that en-masse motion did not happen. Every other director was re-elected without any dissent (as far as I know) but Jim Alexander had only 1.71 million in favour and 5.07 million against.
  7. Absolutely. But in so far as they are a taxpayer revert to what I said.
  8. You seem certain? It was a secret ballot. We don't even know what instructions were given by proxy voters. It's possible for proxy votes to be used at the holder's discretion on specific issues unless the individual proxied requests otherwise. If McMaster/Springford's shares were held by another individual on an open basis they might have been used.
  9. Dear me, social democrat... vested interests and unpaid debts are not in the slightest bit compatible with a free market. Besides, CVAs are tantamount to theft from creditors as far as I'm concerned. As a stakeholder in the government's interest, any taxpayer should be outraged.
  10. Clearly for Dundee, 6 pence in the pound is "fair". Clearly, therefore, 3 points awarded for every 50 they earn should be fair too. What a vile Club.
  11. I'm reasonably certain that the Companies Act 2006 applies to PTFC. It's largely a rehash of earlier provisions that have existed since well before the Articles of Association were formed.
  12. The figures for the actual meeting were something like 5.07 million pledged against and 1.7 million pledged for Jim Alexander's reappointment. If Tom Hughes didn't vote against the reappointment it means that someone on the board must have (there are just shy of 2 million shares on the board and there are fewer than 9 million shares in circulation).
  13. Small point of pedantry, but does a dead duck quack?
  14. Getting a bit facetious Lizzy? All I was saying was that his record with Thistle against top-league teams isn't great. I'm wondering if there's some sort of psychological block. What I'm asking is if anything can be read into it that on the bigger stage in the cup, against higher-league opposition, McCall's Thistle sides lack the bottle to make it through. It's not just about who we're playing but if there is a psychological barrier to playing teams a league above. First post:
  15. I think it's brilliant. The whole ethos surrounding Superbowl coverage is the complete antithesis of the BBC... adverts and product placement galore, completely over-the-top razzmatazz.... Just in case you've forgotten, here's a timely reminder that the cable cam is sponsored by Bud Light.
  16. It's not a question of whether we're good enough. The question is do we have the bottle... Let's hope so.
  17. I thought so, but I wanted to be certain. I think this is his full record against top flight teams... Thistle 0-2 Aberdeen (LC 3rd round, Aberdeen reach SF) Rangers 1-1 Thistle (SC QF) Thistle 0-2 Rangers (SC QF[R], Rangers go on to win) Thistle 1-2 (AET) Rangers (LC 3rd round, Rangers reach Final) ICT 3-0 Thistle (SC 4th round, ICT reach QF) Thistle 0-2 Dundee United (SC 4th round, Dundee United go on to win)
  18. Am I right in saying that as Thistle manager, McCall has never beaten an SPL side in a competitive fixture?
  19. Knowing us, we'll beat St Johnstone and lose in the Quarters...
  20. There doesn't appear to be one (yet). By the looks of things the library items on the JT website haven't been updated for a wee while.
  21. Another graduate from the University of Incompetence... at least other clubs are hiring them too...
