Many of the fancied entrants have taken an unexpected tumble already: Wade (sneering wee twat!) and Whitlock spring to mind.

Gary Anderson, however, has consistently played the best darts of the tournament so far, having the top averages from the three games he's played including a 100.8 average against the Pieman!. He's now got Barney in the quarter finals, a great player himself but one whose form fluctuates quite markedly.

Could this be Gary's year, and will we see the saltire draped round the trophy on Monday evening? Who knows, but I think it's a real possibility. Mon Gary, intaerrum.

Yeah definately, his scoring power is unmatched by any player and if he can tighten up on his doubles he has a cracking chance against anyone. Ive got a tenner on him to win outright at 16/1 and a fiver on Webster each way at 40/1. Jenkins showed a lot of bottle earlier to come back from 4-3 down to win 5-4.

Absolutely, and his average against uberteeb Barneveld, after the first set (which he lost with a 78 average) was around 110! An enormous performance, and at the time of writing, Taylor is trailing the Welshman, Mark Webster.

It might be the oldest cliche in the book, but it really is anybody's tournament to win, and as you alluded to earlier, Gary was banging in his doubles and with supreme confidence.

So, every chance now that the trophy could be heading for Bonny Scotland. Here's hoping so anyway.

Yep, he has been awesome up to now, lets hope he can keep it going for 2 more games. Looks like a long overdue change at the top. Thought Taylor loked like an old man last night against Webster and even though he will still win games I think his era is coming to an end. Took his defeat well, like a true champion!!

I fancy Lewis to beat Anderson 7-5 in the final.
