Scoring record to rival many of Thistle greatest strikers of recent times. I'm 'buzzin' to see him bang in 6 goals in 2025/2026
-
Not a comment I made based on his current state of health but that with or without a Sporting Director, in my opinion the incoming players will be of the same quality. Pointless appointment and waste of a wage that could've funded a couple of player wages.
-
As for Reading. Brace yourselves for more of the same quality. I'll take a punt that come August, every single signing this summer could have been done without a Sporting Director.

Banzo signs on for another year! The news everyone is on tenterhooks waiting to have confirmed. Quickly followed by, one year contracts for, Who's he? Is this the best we can do? He might have potential! His goal record is awful for a striker. and finally. Can't believe we've given him a 2 year deal. Hawd me back or I might buy 2 season tickets.

Love the optimistic chat you get on this thread when it's clear our signings will be a bunch of rag tag journeymen that nobody wants, and hit n' miss loans from the league above. Strap in for another frustrating inconsistent season of finishing anywhere from 4th to 10th

How you think new Sporting Director is performing ?

Read the joint statement and as much as I'd love 'join the red and yellow army for 2025-26' I am seeing absolutely nothing from the club to tempt me. Tinpot organisation, infighting, unprofessionalism and making us a laughing stock as usual. I cannot be the only one that needs to see something in return before blindly stumping up season ticket cash. -
We should add in another couple of pricing options. A first half of season ticket, as we'll be mid table or relegation fodder by January and I don't want to go beyond Christmas. or A 10% discount ticket as I rarely make it beyond 80 minutes these days due to the predictability of our match outcomes.

The biggest problem with Graham is that he didn't have a terrible goal return this season. We'll now be subjected to another bang average season of playing to suit Graham for 75 mins until he runs out of steam. Enter some Baraclough freebie from lower league England to run about for 20 mins each week doing nothing. Settle in for another season of mid table mediocrity folks.
-
Playing Football Manager looking for free transfers I imagine.
-
£50K on Baraclough and we're gonna end up with Wilson/Graham, Imrie, McCabe, Martindale. 🤣🤣 Tinpot boardroom shenanigans from up Firhill as per usual. Next you'll be telling me Baraclough has identified 8 players from Scottish leagues to bolster the squad for the new season. Season ticket cash staying in my pocket for another season.

Still don't know why this role even exists when we don't have a pot to pi$$ in. We shipped out players right left and centre in January. We're lucky to still be in the playoffs and may yet balls that up. Last thing we need is additional outgoings on salaries that are not playing staff. Ideas above our station and being run by clowns. One year without a season ticket about to become two.
-
Begs the question. What is the point in signing anyone if this is the standard we're going with. Was rubbish when fit and playing a few years back, so gonna be even worse now. Run with the dross we have. See out the final 10 games. Usual release of players. Reset for next season and let new manager start forming a new squad as early as possible. BBG doing his chances of getting the job full time absolutely no help at all. (Unless he's looking to make himself look better as striker) We're an absolute joke. Won't be back this season.
-
Exactly. Got to be BBG in a player manager role with Doolan taking over the women's team.
-
You've managed a ladies team. ✅ You've managed a ladies team to a top half finish in the SWPL ✅ You've been the interim manager of a Scottish Championship club ✅ All sounds great. Thanks for your time Brian. We'll be in touch shortly, but rest assured the job is yours once we've pretended to do some due diligence for 3 or 4 weeks. 👍🏻

Poorly run and a financial basket case. You've just described Thistle!
-
Anyone know if this is still a thing? I've avoided Firhill like The Plague this season so wasn't sure if they'd done a Harry Milne in January or not. Not entirely sure who they would've been selling this to other than a few thousand Thistle fans, but it'll be the dullest watch out unless you want a behind the scenes look at our 460 admin staff.
-
For me it's not the answer but an inevitability when Doolan gets his jotters. Those in charge are so blinkered to BBG that I doubt they'll even consider other candidates. Cheap lazy option which sums Thistle up in recent times.
-
Maybe it'll open the eyes of those in charge and they'll realise it's time to move Doolan on. I suspect that's already in the offing anyway. 12 wins from 12 will save his job.
-
12 Games and it'll all be over. Just need someone else to get their finger out, overtake us, and prevent the utter tedium and embarrassment of a playoff mauling.
-
What a nightmare if you're a Thistle player right now and you've not managed to get a move away in January. Don't worry lads, you've only got 128 days left until you can escape. Get that agent of yours working for their money and aiming for 12th June!
-
The transfer activity at Firhill is mind boggling. Doolan either doesny have a clue what he's doing or... more likely in my opinion, others behind the scenes are making the decisions and he's getting told 'this is what you'll be working with' Doolan effectively being told he's out of work come May indirectly with the board signings policy. Tinpot shenanigans as per usual emanating out of Firhill. Wonder if Brian Graham will be quite so accomodating when he's in charge come August?

Quick Flashscore stat check for Scott Martin's time at Hamilton. 169 games, 1 goal, 5 assists, an eye watering 53 yellows and 2 reds. He'll miss half a dozen games each season through suspension. I thought Banzo's discipline was bad!
